For my First-Time Use, I used this compressor to charge a standard Scuba Tank to 3000 PSI. I did not try to charge the tank to full pressure all at once. I ran the compressor in 10 to 15 minute intervals, and allowed the compressor to Cool for 15 minutes between charging cycles (leaving the coolant water flowing the entire time). Excessive Heat is always the enemy of mechanical systems, so by taking my time (especially the first time out) there were No Issues at all. I purchased this for our summer camp since we just added paintball to our activity list. The compressor works great and maintains an even temp even after filling 15 3000ci tanks. Could get a little long, stay with me and I'll try to make it worth it. Let me say up front that I like this pump a lot. But there are things left untold that will bring you plenty of frustration if you're not ready for it. First thing is the pump ships without crack case oil installed. Not a bad thing but would be nice to know it's needed up front and it's not supplied. So you will need to add to your order compressor oil. I believe they call for ISO VG36. Not easy to find, just make sure you get oil that meets or exceeds the requirement. It can be gotten here on Amazon. I'm not going to recommend what you use. Next you will need button batteries for the digital temperature gauge. It takes two of them. That's not a game stopper but keep it in mind. And if you look at the back of the cylinder head in front of the handle you'll find a small hole. That is where the temp probe gets installed. Not mentioned in the manual. The next two are optional but highly recommended. The provided charge hose is only about 12" long and isn't going to be fun trying to hook up to anything. An extension of 24" to 36" will be much appreciated. It also comes with a air filter but it's only going to catch particulates at best, not water or oil. You are going to want a drier if you don't already have one. There is supposed to be a provided power outlet for the water pump but mine doesn't have it. Would have been nice but again not a game changer. They make a big deal out of checking rotation of the motor and air flow to the motor and making sure your power outlet is correct. Why I'm not sure? Motor rotation can't be changed on a single phase 110VAC motor by changing polarity of the power cord. It can however create a shock hazard by connecting the line side of your power to the neutral side or chassis of the component. And prevent any hope of GFCI protection from working. Getting past all of that and getting all the components that was needed to get this thing running before I ever turned the power on. Reading the manual front to back and parts a second or third time. The pump ran flawlessly. Surprisingly quieter than I expected. And best of all, charged my PCP rifle from 0 to 3200 PSI and cut off in a minute flat. I have now charged the gun several times and had a repeat performance each time. Heat is not an issue at all because of such a short runtime but a plus IMHO that there is still water cooling there to remove what heat does get created and sink it away after the pump is turned off. Yes I think the advertising should be a little more clear or up front. But I don't think it takes away from the fact that this seems to be a legit pump and a bargain at the price even after the additional components needed are purchased. Shipping packaging exceptional.Yong Heng unit appears solid & well manufactured. I am very impressed. After becoming thoroughly familiar with use & function I found the compressor operation quite simple. I have 3 PCP air rifles, as well as an 80cf and 19cf 3000psi scuba tank. To test the compressor, I topped off both scuba tanks to 3000psi. The version I have does not come with an adjustable output PSI. Therefore, you must monitor fill pressure and shutoff at or before max pressure of the air rifle or tank. I used the 80cf tank to fill all 3 air rifles. Finally I topped off the 80cf tank again. The compressor worked fast and flawlessly. Afterwards, I inspected the inline hose filter, which looked unused. Making this purchase is a game changer as I no longer will use my PCP airguns sparingly due to wanting to limit the frequency of dive shop visits, fees and often wait times. I'll write future reviews after the compressor undergoes accumulated use in my home PCP fill station. As for now, I'm very please with the purchase. ... show more

Only 2 stars because I haven’t operated it yet and this is my initial unit check up/over... CHECK AND RECHECK ALL FITTINGS!! Ok, this unit just arrived. I haven’t used it yet but here are some initial good/bad comments. 1. Packaging is bullet proof!! 2. Almost all connections were loose and had to be tightened. Makes me nervous to use.... 3. Came with a temperature gauge in an included box but NO instructions as to how it works and installs not to mention no batteries AND what type of batteries are needed!!!. Looks like Gauge snaps into the top of the unit and has a wire with a probe at the end but I have no clue where the probe goes!!! Does it just hang down in the unit someplace and if that’s the case what’s the point??!!...Make me even more nervous to use... 4. Instructions are extremely poor to be honest.....makes me unbelievably nervous to use!!! Waiting on oil to arrive as the was not included BUT was also NOT very clear in the product description!!! UPDATE: ok so I tightened all the loose fittings adding plumbers tape to those I could. I finally found a YouTube video as to what batteries were needed for the temp gage and where the prob goes. Oil came in and I set it all up to run. I will be honest that I was still nervous turning it on. Anyway I flipped the switch and it filled my FX Wildcat MK3 from 150 bar to 230 in less than 10 min. No issues. TG. Time will tell. ONLY 3 stars because: 1. the instructions are practically USELESS!! 2. No batteries included for the temp gage and no mention of none provided prior to purchase that I could find. 3. No info on type of batteries needed. 4. Loose fittings that obvious should never have passed quality control. ... show more
