When I went to Texas to photograph the eclipse this spring I had a lot of trouble seeing the LCD screen on the back of my Olympus OM-1. Someone next to me had one of these little buggers and it really worked to cut down on the glare, making it easier to frame the sun. A few weeks ago I was trying to shoot a waterfall in full sunlight using a 10-stop ND filter and had the same problem. So I decided to get one of these to see how it works. It works fantastically well. It is also simple to put on and take off your rear screen. Finally it fits all of my Olympus cameras, both the E-M1 Mark III and the OM-1, both Mark I and Mark II. Worth every penny of its reasonable price.

I use this on a Sony FX30 which doesn't have a viewfinder. It slides onto the LCD screen easily and folds up small in my bag. It works well when the LCD is large enough to see the image I want to capture and there is not too much glare from all directions. It's easier than bolting on an external monitor. There are situations where I need to use an LCD magnifier hood instead.

Blocks the light as advertised really well, but the material is pretty thick. As a, result you can only use with the screen folded out.

I got this to use on my Sony a6700 it dose fit when the screen is folded out and works very well and is built well to.

Should be 1/4 inch wider for most Song camcorder screens. It does fit, but less then pro.

I use mine on every single wedding i shoot. It works great at blocking the sun and also keeping guests from trying to hover over my shoulder to see what i'm shooting. It slips on and off in 1 second. Very convenient

I’ve had this on my wish list for a while, but just bought it to film the eclipse. I usually use a field monitor with a hood, so it hasn’t been too much of an issue, but having a hood for the flip out screen really helped in the bright sunlight any time I needed to adjust settings. I’ll definitely be keeping this in my bag from now on.

I haven't used this yet but am assuming it will help as it is the same thing you see on any outdoor movie set. It is easy to configure, install on, and remove from the Sony ZV-1. The main reason I haven't used it yet is that it is a pain in the neck. I can't leave it installed on my ZV-1 and close the screen with the glass inside against the camera body. And when it is off the camera and folded up it is too cumbersome to get into a pants pocked from where it can be quickly deployed. I got the ZV-1 because it is pocketable and having this other thing that is not pocketable doesn't make sense for my use case. Maybe if I were a vlogger and needed to also carry a tripod, and a light panel, and a microphone, carrying this display Sun screen wouldn't be an issue. But that isn't me. ⭐⭐⭐ Is my base rating for a product that is fully functional and delivers on its promises
