Great baseplate
I was looking for a good baseplate to use for my camera rig. I've used a few others that screw directly into the bottom of a cage but wanted the option of a quick release plate to swap cameras without tearing the entire rig apart. This one looked a bit goofy on the product images, but after getting it in my hands it is an absolute beast. Very sturdy and high quality. I highly recommend.

A must have
Very nice and compact plate system. That was always one grief of mine when building a rail system was how bulky things got! But not with this. Super compact

Great
Very convenient and smart concept. Can separate the camera quickly from the rest of the rig to add to a video head

This baseplate will not aligh with the holes on the 6K cage
This base plate will not align with the holes on the 6K cage, the box even says "4K" on it.

Not what I was expecting and does not work very well
The only reason I bought this is it was supposed to work with the black magic cinema 6K pro but the screw holes do not line up with the base plate. Furthermore, the base plate is extremely awkward to slide into the mount because of the size of the camera. Completely useless for this camera

Smallrig Cage base plate
Just what the smallrig doctor ordered.

Only compatible with ONE cage
This is garbage. I bought this for my Panasonic S5 and now I CANNOT use it in any of my camera, which all have smalleig cages. This is JUST for the smallrig cage for the BLACKMAGIC POCKET CINEMA CAMERA. Not a universal cage, not even for any other Smallrig cage. I have 5 cameras and works with none.
