This light takes up a small amount of space at less than 12 inches tall and less than 6 inches in diameter. It has an attractive wood base in either a like or dark finish. I chose dark, but either appeal to me. The shades come in a variety of styles as well: I preferred the plain buff shade. Often I find these small lamps use a USB cord as source of power, but this has a traditional power cord with an inline switch. This is not a chargeable device. The switch is only a few inches away from the base which makes it convenient and easier to locate in a dark room. The power is just on/off: there is no dimming capability. The light is a warm yellow glow enough to read by if on a nightstand. I ordered this lamp to replace a previous one i keep in the bathroom. I like having a smaller lamp for late night or when guests visit so that there is not so harsh lights in the room. Any room in the house would be suitable for this lamp and it will complement or blend in with most decor. There is some assembly needed for 4 basic parts: the base, the lamp shade, a collar to clamp the shade in place to the base and a small appliance sized light bulb. All of the components are a very good quality. Just remember the bulb goes in last. The base appears to fit other small shades as well if you want to interchange looks. I was looking for a small lamp to put on my nightstand, and this one turned out to be just right. The cream shade gives off a warm, soft glow that’s great for winding down in the evening, and the wood base adds a nice natural touch to the room. The inline switch is super easy to use and I don’t have to fumble around to turn it on or off when I’m already in bed. Assembly was quick, just a couple of parts to screw together. It came with a bulb, which was a nice one. It’s not very bright, more of a cozy light, so maybe not ideal if you need something for reading every night. This lamp arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. It was easy to assemble. The materials seem sturdy for the value. It comes with a light bulb that shines very brightly. It is quite small-- a nice size for a small side table, bookshelf or (like mine) on a mantle. I like that it comes with a cord and outlet plug, plus it has an easy on/off switch near the top of the cord. The look is cute with pretty yellow ginkgo leaves and complimentary blue. Very bright light. It comes with it's own led light bulb. The size of the light bulb fitment can be used with any standard light bulb. Very easy to put together, you don't even need to look at the manual. Looks great and very compact as well. It can go anywhere whether its your desk or your night stand. One thing I do need to mention is that when you open the box, you will get a heavy chemical smell. I don't know if its the product itself or the styrofoam packaging, but if you air it out it should be okay. ... show more

This lamp is really pretty. The design on the shade is lovely, I was surprised how small this lamp is, but at the same time, it's really bright. This is a very good reading lamp if you want to read in bed. I was happy to see that it comes with a bulb. It's a small but mighty bulb. I also like that this has a wood base. These look nice but unfortunately they are quite small so they are a little awkward on the night stand. Easy to assemble though, just screw in the couple of plastic pieces and the light bulb and you’re good to go. Light is soft which is nice, and the light shade looks nice with the base. Would be nice if there were multiple light settings. The 2-piece set I got was on sale at $29.99 (regular $39.99) and i think that’s too expensive for what these are. I’ve paid for other 2-pack lamps like this that were at that $25-30 range and they had more functionality with light settings and the cord also looked higher end. $20 would be more fair. Especially given you can current buy 2 of these lamps separately for $20 but the 2-pack costs $30… doesn’t make sense. ... show more
