I needed a lamp for my small corner desk to use when I didn’t want to turn on the bright recess lights in my bedroom for my home office. The lamp doesn’t take up too much space but it’s not too tiny where it seems like a joke. The base of the lamp is black; however, I wanted it to be oil rubbed bronze so I simply spray painted it before I assembled it. Now, it matches the shade which is cream and dark brown perfectly! No complaints, it does what it says. For those who say the shade is “loose”, they simply don’t know how to assemble the lamp. Please use the instructions included and the shade will be nice and secure! Would definitely recommend! You might want to plug into a surge protector to prevent any overheating.

Review of Small Table Lamp for Bedroom - Bedside Lamps for Nightstand, Beige Shade This is a replacement for one I broke during my move to the lake 2 years ago. The shade is a linen-like material and the inner part is plastic. OK...for those of you complaining about the shade wobbling, you didn't install it right. Immediately after unboxing, remove the plastic ring from the base. Put the shade on, then put that right back where you found it first. There is NO wobble with this shade. Also for those of you complaining the shade is a fire hazard and burns, you have way too high wattage on the light bulb you have in there. I use 2W or 4W LED bulbs (equivalent to 25W and 40W) in my lamps and they don't get hot at all. Speaking of LED bulbs, this lamp works fine with those, turns on and off and no flickering. Nice lamp if you are intelligent enough to use one.

This lamp is fantastic, I purchased it for my wfh office space in my house that doesn't have great lighting. Don't let the small profile of the lamp fool you, this lamp is really good at lighting up a space (note: I got the beige shade so others might give off less light). It looks sleek and is neutral enough to fit in with pretty much anything and everything. Would be perfect in a living room, office, entryway, even a camper or other small space. Great value!

This lamp small, simple, and works great. Only concerns are... 1. If you get one with a light colored shade, it really shows the bright light a lot and lights up the room considerably. You should either get a darker shade and/or lower output bulb in if you like things on the darker side. 2. To assemble the lamp, you have to reach into far into the shade and tighten down a large plastic ring that goes over the framework of the shade. If you have large hands like I do, it can be a little tough to get your hand in there, so if anyone in your family has smaller hands it might be better to let them put it together. Even with my large hands, I was done in about 1 minute. Otherwise, great lamp and I am buying another with a darker shade for sure.
