Once again, Goebleson has provided more quality, prettiness, and a more realistic mid-century homage for this price than I thought possible. A few notes will help prevent disappointment: One, it goes on steep sale. Check the price history. Set a price alert elsewhere online if you're bargain hunting. Two, know that it will need to be fastened down somehow. It's EXTREMELY tippy. It feels like a hair dryer on "high" would be enough to blow it over! You can use a bit of nano tape or a tiny bracket screwed to the wall behind it. Or, you could drill out the bottom of the base and insert lead weights. This was definitely not a deal-breaker for us. Three, I recommend cutting a piece of cardboard to approximately the dimensions of this lamp, and taping it on your dresser or table, so that you're not surprised by its size when it arrives. It's quite small. It looks fine in many settings, but to small in some other settings. Four, the cord is highly visible hanging down from the lampshade region. Look at the pictures of other reviewers to see this. This is also easy to solve with a bit of nano tape, or light brown gaffer tape, etc. It also is somewhat authentic (many antique mid-century lamps simply allowed the cord to hang like this), and it may not bug you. We just left it like that. It looks fine to me -- and I usually hate conspicuous lamp cords. Five, if the lamp shade is 'puckering out', just redistribute it more evenly by sliding the little hooks nearest to the 'pucker' a bit further away from that region. You'll figure it out. Once you adjust it properly, it maintains its round shape nicely. Overall, this is among the best bargains in lamps on Amazon when it is on sale, and honestly, even when it is not. Most lamps of this size just look cheap. A knowledgeable owner could never mistake them for a genuine mid-century item. This one is a plausible replica/homage, made well, seemingly sturdy enough, and with seemingly safer components / wiring than other lamps in its price range. I have no connection to this company, nobody asked me to write this review, and I receive no form of compensation for doing so. I'm not a "Amazon Vine" reviewer. They receive free products from companies. I'm a bit wary of how that influences their reviews.
