    • Gave up trying to engage locking tabs-RETURNING

Looks good but upon trying to install, the poor design becomes obvious: The power wire interferes with the fixture being able to be pushed up to engage the locking tabs. Two fairly competent DIYers, my son ,56, and I, 80, spent two hours on 2 separate ladders trying every conceivable trick and alternative wire placement we could think of to allow the fixture to press tightly enough against the mounting bracket to engage the locking tabs. I would guess at least ten attempts interspersed with having to restrip the power wires as they would break off after a couple tries. Even without this impediment, this would not be an "easy installation" for one person as holding fixture in one hand makes you about one hand short when trying to twist on the wire nuts. I think I might know why this is one of the cheaper fixture and why the $20.00 coupon but I am very leery of similar fixtures having the same issue. ... show more

The light works. It is large. I like that I can set 3000K temperature since anything higher feels like an office. However, the usual connection "design" of a cable with two wires should not be acceptable in the 21st century. With such a slim design, it is not easy to tuck securely two 110V connections or wire nuts into a small area in the middle. More importantly, you have to joggle holding the ling and connector with one hand while making connections with the other. And, finally, let the light hang on two connectors while fumbling with the light locking mechanism to twist it on the right place. ... show more

This light is installed in our home gym. The size is 15.8" which is what we needed to assess to our puck perimeter lights. This is a bright light, has three temp settings, and is such a low profile there is no risk of hitting it with a jump rope. The look of it is modern and clean, we love it. If you wish to change the light temp do it before install as you will have to remove it to change it. This is a smart choice for a bathroom as well as it is rated for moisture. Our kitchen had a circular fluorescent light there for years. Occasionally it would flicker so the wife and I had dubbed it the "seizure" light. I was super excited when I saw this LED light that is just a bit larger than that one and is thin and flush mount. Our ceilings in the kitchen aren't super high so without a flush mount it wouldn't have worked. This light was a snap to install. I just had to mount the base, connect the wires, and then attach the light to the base. I anticipated it would be bright so I turn away the first time I turned it on and WOW was it bright! At only 36W I wouldn't have anticipated that. I did change it to different color settings until we found the one we liked. I can say I'm far from an electrician but mounting and wiring this one was very easy and I couldn't be happier. It's been up for well over a month now. No flickering, noise, or other weirdness from it. It just lights up our kitchen and makes me see I need to paint the walls now. 5/5. ... show more

This is a powerfully bright led light that is straight forward and easy to install. My husband installed this quickly and said their adapter is very versatile for many alignment possibilities. The bayonet mount made it very simple to twist on. The only work around he had to do was to strip the wire jacket down to 3 inches instead of their 1 and 1/2 inches so that he had room to work with. This is a very clean, slim bright light. Able to select color. Very easy to install. It is very slim to the ceiling. Only about 3/4” to and inch. Would like to see it (trim) in other colors such a Matt black, brushed nickel, a couple of different brasses etc.
