These were used to replace the wheels on my computer chair and they are fantastic. The roll easily on both the carpet and our hardwood plank flooring. They fit fine as a replacement but they are a little bigger so the chair sits about an inch higher so had to lower it.

I just got these and installed them. (Like minutes ago.) I'll update this review if the situation changes. We have two rando chairs that we purchased at a Habitat for Humanity store. They both have a plastic base. 1. These fit perfectly. I measured the stems as well as I could with a tape measure and took a chance on buying these. 2. Super easy to install. One chair had particularly tight wheels. I had to use the claw of a hammer to work out the old wheels and I used a bar clamp to push in the new wheels. I could swap the wheels on the other chair by hand. 3. Easy glide. Almost too easy. We're renting an old house and I noticed that the hardwood floors were getting damaged. It was fine for years and then WFH happened with COVID. Those old plastic wheels were gummed up with cat hair and were scratching the floors. Despite the age of the floor, the unevenness of the boards, and the years of neglect by the landlord, these wheels slide along like this is a new floor. 4. These wheels are bigger around than the old wheels and I feel like the chairs sit about an inch or so higher, which is fine because they were a tad bit low for our desks. Now, I think the chairs are sitting at a much better height. ... show more

Worked for years until the rotator bearings fell off, started finding little metal balls on the floor and when I spin the wheels they started to roll out of the top part where they rotate.

I was originally going to buy a floor rug for my gaming chair to protect the lvp vinyl flooring in our new house. But I already had a large area rug under my bed and things just wouldn't look great if I had a separate rug right next to it for my desk. I stumbled upon these and decided to give them a try. Installation took maybe a minute. Simply slip out the stock plastic wheels from my gaming chair and slide these ones right in their place (same exact mechanism). These are a life saver!! The wheels are made out of true rubber, and when installed on your chair, completely protect your hard wood floors from any type of damage/marring. You can feel/hear(or should I say, not hear) the difference with these...your chair will silently glide over the surface instead of making abrasive rolling noises. I feel 100% confident using these for the long haul on my new lvp flooring. Ordered another set for the office. A+. ... show more

    • Great Invention For Saving Old Hardwood Floors

The hardwood floors in our house are old (1949) and unfinished. They are beautiful, but we want to protect them as much as possible until we can afford to have a professional come and take care of them properly. When my husband needed a new office chair for his work from home adventure he requested wheels so it would be easier to move around his office. I looked into different options and quickly learned that rugs and mats are not great for wood floors. I also learned about rubber office chair wheels. To say I was skeptical would be an understatement, but I ordered them to replace the factory wheels on his new chair and we agreed we would carefully watch the floor over a day. It has been over three months and these wheels have been amazing. Our floor has not been impacted at all by having my husband in his chair rolling around and the wheels were easy to install instead of the factory wheels that came with the chair. We actually joked about putting wheels on the bottom of all our furniture to make it easy to move and to avoid scratching the floor. ... show more

    • THREE THINGS WRONG WITH THESE WHEELS

I have been using these casters for almost a year on my office desk chair. There are three things wrong with these casters. (1) The wheels are loosely mounted on their pins and as a result, the wheels wobble. (2) The bearings are only held in place with a loose fitting rubber cup. (3) As a result, when the wheels wobble and the rubber cup moves out of position, the bearings fall out of their tracks onto the floor preventing the casters from spinning freely. This is a poorly engineered design and will not hold up long term. I will be replacing mine soon for a higher quality product. Do not buy this product. ... show more
