Overall, I’m pretty happy with this lighting kit. The softbox provides nice, even lighting and works well for basic photography and video recording. It definitely improves the quality of my shots compared to using regular room lighting. First off - very decent softbox light overall. Nice range. A slight negative- The remote did not work after trying multiple batteries. But a very simple fix. Just pull the positive connectors out in the remote so the positive terminal on the battery can touch. A small pair of tweezers did the trick for me. Works fairly well. Still not as bright as I had hoped for the wattage listed but they do the job. My goals were to photograph rooms of a house and it did well in some and simply not bright enough in others. I bought two so that I could adequately cover the room. My buffer issue though was the quality... You get what you pay for. The metal for the tripod seems very fragile but the trade off is it keeps it lightweight. Just don't expect it to hold up with constant moving around like I am with room shots. The bulbs and socket are just as terrible in quality- look at this photo with one bulb dented. I've never had a dented bulb base in my entire life. That dented bulb caused the socket to then warp and so now I probably should return one of them. Features wise, I would say it's actually pretty good. I love having color temperature options and the ability to dim them. Overall, for the price, it'll do the job for folks needing a stationary light in a studio. But not for those on the go or expect it to break fairly quick. ... show more
