  • For A Pre-Built, This Is Everything You Need
Since I feel like this is a big purchase for everyone I feel like I should probably be a little bit over descriptive so you guys can get enough of a perspective to be able to make a decision. So lets get into it. The PC: I was incredibly apprehensive purchasing a gaming PC as you are completely rolling the dice on quality. I don't trust myself building my own PC and decided to bite the bullet and spend the money on a pre-built. The price is a great value considering the specs it has specified (16 gb ram, having windows 10 pre-installed and all that) and when its delivered the look of the machine is very satisfying. The computer I was sent the first time was impressive looking and I was excited to boot up a game. Nothing. I was sent a DOA machine. The was a bit worrisome however I knew that I was not responsible and amazon would honor a replacement. tech support for both sky tech and amazon were incredibly helpful and made a bad situation much better to handle. I was sent another computer withing 2 days. I booted this one up and it was perfect. The noise was minimal and it was ready to go. I wanted to give it a week and put it through the ringer to see if it was optimal for gaming. I've so far played Counter Strike: Global Offense for approximately 50 hours without a single hitch, no lag or frame drops and looks better than I've ever seen it look. I've also tested it with Fallout 4 with an excessive amount of mods to see how well it can handle the added stress and still it operated nearly perfect. I've also played a visually striking game like Resident Evil 2: Remake and again it looks and operates perfectly. So far I have not a single complaint or regret purchasing this PC. The Keyboard: The keyboard they send you is also a great product. when a company sends you something complimentary its often times garbage. This one is the complete opposite. It's made form solid material and all the keys are very responsive. The lighting system for the underlay is pretty nice too with three different lighting options and no light option at all if that is your preference. Overall a great keyboard that if it was not free I would spend at least $40 on it on my own. The Mouse: The mouse fits perfectly to the hand. Keep in mind my hands are larger than average and this one feels perfect. Very solidly built and simple, and the lighting although present is subtle. A great addition overall. To close I'd like to say that this is the best computer that I'v ever had. I'm incredibly pleased with my purchase and cannot recommend this computer enough. Never feel shame for purchasing a pre-build PC. This was easy, incredibly simple to set up and there doesn't seem like there are too many things it cant do as compared to other much more expensive set ups. Take the risk and buy the computer. ... show more

  • Fast & Blazing Ryzen 5 Computer
I purchased the Skytech Blaze computer to replace my old primary computer. My old computer was starting to become sluggish and had trouble running some video games. As Windows 10 gets routinely updated, it puts an increasingly heavier load on the CPU due to new additions and enhancements. I opted for the Blaze even though the Blaze II model was available because of its reduced price and double the RAM. For far less money I took a small 5% performance hit between the Blaze's Ryzen 5 2600 versus the Blaze II's Ryzen 5 2500 CPU. The Blaze came with a gaming mouse and a colorful back lit keyboard. Set up was fast and easy. I had absolutely no problems as I installed my favorite software. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are pre-installed and ready to go. Although this model is not a top-of-the-line gaming computer, I had noticed that my old games that were becoming sluggish are now fast with the greatest detail settings on the highest setting. The sound is loud and vibrant and for the first time I am not running my system sound at 100%. I haven't used Skytech's technical support so I just put three stars in that category. It may be worth more than that. The only thing I don't like about this computer is the large square power button located at the very top of the case on the right hand side. The power button is not recessed and its large size makes it easy to accidentally cut off the computer. My son did it to me twice and I did it once while bending over the case to inspect the back ports. The back panel has six more USB jacks (5-USB 2.0 & 1-USB 3.0). My old computer came with an insufficient number of USB ports so I ended up purchasing a front panel dashboard and an internal USB card with four extra ports on the back panel. Overall I think this is a great entry level gaming computer and the positive aspects far outweigh the negatives. After comparing Skytech's price and specifications to its well known competition, I found I could get more computer for less money. I can't yet attest to Skytech's reliability and durability because I have owned this computer for too short a time but right now I'm loving my new computer! ... show more

  • Pleased As Can Be!
I think the best compliment you can pay a brand new PC in a review is to say that it was everything you hoped it would be, and does everything you expected it to be able to do. This here PC fits that bill perfectly; it's exactly everything I wanted, and just runs like a dream. My entire life, I've been into PC gaming but due to my humble financial situation I have always been one generation behind on the hardware, spending half my gaming time trying to massage whatever I could out of an integrated graphics card, so I decided I'd finally had enough and was gonna pull the trigger and invest in a properly powerful, upgrade-able PC that ought to last me for a good few years. I scoured the internet for weeks until I'd determined that this here PC was quite possibly the best value-for-money one could find on a brand-spanking-new computer. Indeed I was a little skeptical that this configuration of components could actually be purchased for this price; it seemed to be about a hundred bucks less than a lot of other computers with similar or even lesser specs. In the end, I decided to go for it, and lemme tell ya: I am so very very happy that I did! My only complaint at all may not even be Skytech's fault. Basically, at first I was a little disappointed that the graphics on my games weren't quite as good as I'd been envisioning. I thought I'd done my research well, and this graphics card would be able to easily handle any game I wanted to throw at it, and yet I was still getting some bad jaggies, just really ragged-looking anti-aliasing on the edges of objects. Well, I endured the jaggies for a few weeks, thinking I'd just made a mistake in my research and might need to eventually invest in an even stronger graphics card. Then one day while searching for something entirely unrelated in the graphics card settings, I stumbled upon a few settings pertaining to Anti-Aliasing and Ambient Occlusion that curiously were disabled by default. Welp, it took two clicks of the mouse, and now everything is every bit as beautiful as I imagined it would be! I find it extremely odd that the PC would ship with these settings turned off, because why buy a good graphics card and then not let it strut its stuff? So again: probably not Skytech's fault at all, but something for a purchaser to immediately look into when they first boot up their new Blaze. All in all, I could not be happier with my Skytech Blaze, and would recommend it highly. I've had it for something like two months at this point, and have not experienced any issues whatsoever, and been gaming the quarantine away like a madman with wonderfully high graphical settings that I previously could never dream of! I'm sure if you're a super-duper serious gamer, you'll probably wanna invest a wee bit more in a really high-end graphics card and perhaps an SSD hard disk, but for the majority of people this PC has all the power you'd ever need (and then some!) to enjoy yourself immensely. I absolutely love it, and will definitely be turning to Skytech first the next time I'm in the market for another computer. ... show more

  • Exactly as advertised...I'm very happy with this purchase.
It was exactly as advertised, 16GB Ram, 1TB HDD, It boots very quickly even without an SSD. It would have been 5 stars, but because of some missing info (2 wireless Blue Tooth ant. included, 2 connections on card. Which goes where? Do I need both? Just one?) and there is no way to control the lights. The red is irritating. Either the lights/fan controller is not connected or disabled in the BIOS. After going through the boards for Thermatake (case),AMD (motherboard), and ASRock (firmware for lights/fans controls etc), either the controllers for fans and lights aren't connected or they are disabled in the BIOS. I downloaded TTRGB program and it gives an error, "No fan controller" which prevents you from accessing the lights controller part of that app. I can understand not wanting customers mucking about with the fan controls, but it would be nice to have had that app included on the desktop so the lighting could be adjusted. The power switch and LED switches on the front panel below the audio jacks do nothing except light up a small led strip on the front that stays on for about 2 seconds. Some info about all these things would be appreciated. For now I'm going to DL the UEFI app from ASRock to see if the controllers are disabled on the motherboard. Other than these small but irksome things, this is a very good computer for the price. I'll probably buy one for my grandson later this year. ... show more

  • 10/10 A+ Two thumbs up :)
I chose this product based on all the Amazon reviews giving it 5-stars. I also chose this computer because I was able to make monthly payments on it without having to go through a credit check, which is incredibly nice and just outright awesome of them. I was Prime delivery and it arrived within 2-days. It was very well-packaged. This one came with 600W instead of 500W. Obviously no complaints there. Just a nice surprise. The computer is somewhat loud but I've only had it for a day now so maybe it will quiet down eventually. It seems to be coming from the fans. There is no detailed manual for this computer. Which is a shame because there is a blinking light on the top of the computer that I would like to know what it means and then there is a button above the led button that I would also like to know what it does. More importantly, I would like to know how to add an SSD card to this computer, as there are two spots for it within the computer itself but it's not like my previous computer where there was a section for it, just had to unscrew it, plug it in, screw it back in and you were good to go. As far as I can tell, there isn't a port to connect an SSD card directly without purchasing additional material, which is fine. The problem is I don't really know what additional material I would need. I've seen USB SSD card cables but it connects them outside of the computer. Connecting an SSD card is probably easy to do on this computer but I still need to know how to do it. Instructions on that particular upgrade would have been nice. Lacking a formal manual/guide is the only real issue for this computer. For people who have more experience with a computer that shouldn't be a problem. Either way though, it is a great computer. As soon as I turned it on for the first time I was able to get everything up and running within a few minutes. I like how easy it is to open the computer up, all the components were there, and it is very sleek looking. The bottom fan wasn't moving but all I had to do was move some of the cables that were blocking it. Even without an SSD, it boots up really fast. I only play League of Legends on this and It plays well. I no longer have frame skips which is super nice. I'm trying to think what else to say. It really is a good computer, just a bit on the louder nice. It came with screens over the fans, even including on top of the computer where there isn't a fan, to further help protect from dust and overheating. Actually, I almost forgot. The mouse is comes with is basic but it looks really nice. I didn't end up using it because I didn't like the way it felt during gameplay but I'm sure I can find someone who will like it. As for the keyboard that it came with, I'm using it now and I really love it. It's a mechanical keyboard, the buttons really stick out to help avoid pressing more than one key at a time, it lights up with three different varieties of multicolor and you can turn it off as well, all from pressing a single button on the keyboard itself. I'll update my review here and there as I try other games, video editing, and after I've had it for a bit to see how well it does after it has been a while. ... show more

  • Good First Gaming PC
This is the first gaming PC we've ever bought, following more than a decade of using laptops (including a MacBook Pro). Mind you, I'm a casual gamer, and I'm not that knowledgeable about computer parts and their workings, but I feel like for the price, it's a very good deal. To provide an idea of how this computer has been working for us, The Sims 3 (with all expansions installed, some custom content, and a mod or two) can run slowly on this computer at times (mostly on the Create a Sim mode. It works normally in other modes), but it's still very much playable (and sometimes mods and custom content can do things to gaming functionality anyway). When in Window mode in the Sims 3, I can also watch Youtube with no issues. My husband has played Evil Within 2 on it, and he says it runs very well. Other games that I've played, including WoW, Minecraft and some other games on Steam have run just fine. Pretty well, and pretty smoothly, actually. I'd like to use this computer to record gameplay for Youtube one day. I don't know that I could do that on this computer with a content heavy game like Sims 3, but I've got the idea that I could probably do that with smaller games. That much is just a guess, though, as I haven't actually tried this sort of thing yet. I've heard from other sources that the gaming mouse and the keyboard that come with this are cheap quality, but honestly, my husband and I are happy with them. The mouse is probably the nicest we've ever had, and we're enjoying having products that light up in nice colors. I don't know how they compare to higher priced gaming keyboards and computer mouses, but for those walking in on the scene like us, they should be perfectly fine. We haven't had any issues with them, and the mouse has a nice ergonomic design that makes it comfortable to use. All in all, wonderful product for the price, especially for casual gamers or gamers who are just starting out. We're very happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Thumbs Up
I bought this computer about three weeks ago after my old computer bit the dust. First and foremost, I was impressed with the shipping. I confirmed my old computer was truly dead on Friday night, placed the order then, and received the new one early Monday afternoon. There was a good amount of care with the packaging - no scuffs to the case, nothing out of place internally. l After reading some of the other reviews, I was a little concerned that the specs might not exactly match up with the Amazon product description, especially because I bought the model with 16GB of RAM, but a quick inspection confirmed that I did indeed get everything that I ordered. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 after booting up the computer to get rid of the typical bloatware I expected to see, as I generally do with new computers; to Skytech’s credit, this was probably unnecessary. Outside of some general diagnostic / stress-test programs, there wasn’t anything else on the hard drive. For a computer that’s not overly high-end, I’m happy with how it handles current-gen games. Anything prior to 2017 can be played on max settings, and some of the newest games I’ve tried work suitably well on higher settings. Programs that require a lot of CPU power (chess engines, poker solvers, e.g.) run as well as I can expect them to, although admittedly my old computer had a worse CPU and I don’t have a great basis for comparison. The only thing I changed was that I added an SSD to the guts of the computer. A 1 TB hard drive is more than enough space, but by virtue of not being an SSD, booting up the computer / accessing files takes juuuust long enough to be a little annoying. Thankfully, there is a ton of space within the case to add new components, so I slotted in an SSD for my sanity. I think this is a decent price point for a pre-built computer, although like most computers you can save a good chunk of money if you have the expertise to buy the parts separately and build it yourself. Still, I’m happy with the purchase, all in all. ... show more

  • Just WOW
Just wow. I'm not sure where to begin here. An amazing buy and I'm extremely happy with this computer. And for the record, this is my first serious computer buy. All of my old and most of my new games run great at high settings. Can handle many tabs and programs running simultaneously. It started right up and I had no issues. (Less than a minute to launch and run). However, one of my inside lights doesn't work and the back plate needed to be straightened. (One of the cooling fan lights). I don't even feel bummed about that becasue my PC came with an updated version of the AMD Ryzen. Plus tech support is helping me figure the light issue out. When I bought the PC it said it came with the AMD Ryzen1600 but what I got was the 2600. How can I complain about that? It also came with the listed amout of hard drive. Windows 10 home works great and smoothly. Fans are pretty quiet. I have to suggest this company and computer. They did a really great job putting it all together. They also gifted a decent keybaord and mouse. Plus, they put easy directions as well as a $10 gift card inside. This computer makes my life better! Thank you. Truly a beautiful computer. ... show more
