The media could not be loaded. I am familiar with this technology, I tried to replace Garmin onboard Navigation with this product. Overall very impressive for its price, features, functionality. BT based projection worked perfectly. However it was difficult to install on Accord due to Accord's windshield size as it was obstructing the driver view. However a constant noise was unbearable when you connect to Car Audio system in Aux mode. I tried changing cables and connecting cable to Aux system to verify if there is problem with car audio system or cable, but for sure it is this device problem. So returning it back.

I recently purchased this 9-inch Wireless Apple Carplay Stereo for my 2014 model car, which lacked native Apple Carplay support. My experience has been largely positive, and I'd like to share some insights that might help potential buyers. Installation and Connectivity: The installation process was a breeze. The touch device is straightforward to mount and connects easily. It draws power from the car's cigarette lighter, and thoughtfully, the charger includes an additional USB outlet. This design allowed me to charge my phone simultaneously, which I found exceptionally convenient. As for connectivity, I opted to use the Bluetooth feature to link my iPhone with the device's Apple Carplay. I also configured the audio to play through my car's existing sound system. The setup was intuitive and hassle-free. I also appreciate the quick auto-connect feature after the initial setup, which usually takes about 10 seconds after I started my car, conveniently ready by the time I set up my maps. Camera Quality and Features: The front view camera is impressively clear and offers loop recording, a feature I find very useful. However, it's worth noting that the rear-view camera kit, which requires wiring to both the touchscreen and reverse lights, only provides a backup view in Reverse mode without recording capabilities. Since my car already has a built-in backup camera and sensors, I didn't use the provided rear-view camera, so my review won't cover this aspect. Wish List: While the product meets most of my needs, I do wish it included continuous rear-view recording and sensors to trigger recording during incidents like crashes or theft, especially when the car is parked. This might require battery support, but it would significantly enhance the device's utility. Overall Experience: Overall, this Wireless Apple Carplay Stereo has met my expectations and improved my in-car entertainment and utility. My old van is more enjoyable to drive now. Easy to install. It's nice to have a big map to navigate on road trips. The built-in dashcam is nice to have and the backup camera is a lifesaver. Would have given 5 stars if it had an equalizer to find tune the music like other units have.

This unit works well however I am not thrilled about either of the mounting options. My experience is if you have it mounted for a time it will most likely fall. The unit itself is pretty cool. Shopping now for a different way to mount it.

When I first got my 2017 Subaru Forester, the onboard navigation/entertainment seemed really adequate. After all, I got the upgraded Bose speakers and the system supported Bluetooth - what else to ask for? Just got myself a magnetic mount for my Pixel and was a happy camper. However, after renting several cars with wireless Android Auto (I don't use Apple products), I realized what I'm missing. Not only navigation using a larger screen was way better, but the features were amazing: I could control the whole thing with my voice really well, there were also very convenient controls for music and other apps on the large screen, my messages were displayed in a very readable way. So started my quest in trying to get Android Auto installed on my Forester. There are apparently kits, that would upgrade the built in screen to support it. But those are really expensive (>$400 and up), and one would have to re-wire a lot of onboard electronics, including the speakers, AC controls, the rear camera etc. Just recently I've discovered these external screens - and they are almost a perfect implementation for Android Auto. The screen just attaches to your windshield using a suction cup (or your dashboard on a sticky tape). After that you just need to provide power to it using either a lighter port or a USB - and voila, you are all set. The screen has a built in speaker, it's not super loud but completely sufficient for me. If it's not for you, there is an AUX out 3.5mm port, that you can use to connect to your car's AUX IN and hear all the sound on the main speakers. As an added bonus, the device comes with a built in dashcam on the back, which I wanted - and needed, to install a long time ago. The camera just record to a MicroSD card that you provide - pretty standard. Ther is also a rear camera, but my car already has one so I didn't bother to install it. But might be super handy for a fully loaded truck or an RV. Would I like my car to just come with Android Auto preinstalled? Of course I would. But it is not, and this device is the second best thing to that.
