I was concerned about the noise, I hate the sound of blowers but I live under a huge oak tree. My neighbors have a shrill high pitched noisy blower, this one I can live with, even on high it is not bad and the variable speed is handy as well as easier on the battery. This cordless one is easier to take up on my roof for a monthly cleaning. I decided on the Skil because I already had 4 other Skil tools w/2AH batteries, now I have a 4 AH and an extra charger, better for using my cordless circular saw. I live in a house with a long 3 story outside staircase and I love this blower for cleaning it off. What used to take me 30 minutes to sweep and put in a dust pan now only takes a few minutes and it is much cleaner. It's also great for blowing out out debris around windows and doors and blowing off bugs as the bobo's are a real pain and swarm and land on my patio in the summer months. Sure there are more powerful, costly, and heavier electric battery blowers but it has good blower power and battery life for the money to do the job around the house. ... show more
