Very comfortable straight out of the box. Bought these to replace a 10 year old pair of slip-on US made redwings that finally came apart. Those redwings were bought on a boot voucher from work and I probably had 5 pair of them in a 14 year span and this was the last pair standing. They stopped making that specific model of shoe when they outsourced production to overseas. Use them strictly for working out on my property and in my home shop doing fabrication, welding, cutting & grinding so I wanted leather. We’ll see how they hold up. Definitely don’t expect them to last 10 years like the redwings had but they appear to be very well constructed. This is my second pair of sketchers with the hands free slip-on heel. Those are a traditional sneaker looking composite toe pair I’ve used at my day job for about a month now, which is why I ended up with these. Will update as needed of any issues pop up.

There are 2 negative things you should know before purchase. 1. They are heavy, however they are also all leather and sturdy. 2. They hold onto your foot around the ankle. This can at times become annoying. Positives, they are comfortable. The slip on feature is nice and works well, it doesnt feel or look like it will wear out easily. They don't require any break in time. They make you about 1" taller. I believe they are a good overall value for the money.

Very well made shoe. Though not steel toe, it is a very hard material that definitely offers protection. They look good and after broken in are comfortable. For just over $100, this is about as good of a shoe available. And it is truly slip on. I wear size 14 and they are true to size

I'm very happy with these skechers men's holdredge ryker hands free slip-in construction shoes. Well made and easier to put on than tie up work boots. I would say that they do not slip on as easy as light duty skechers, but I need the durability of the heavier shoes. However, with the help of a shoe spoon they are very easy to put on. One of the reviews stated they had trouble with the back of the shoe breaking down. I think that is from the working of their foot into the shoe wearing down the shoe back. A shoe spoon prevents this.

Shoes run quite small. My actual shoe size is 10.5 EEE. I ordered these Skechers slip ons in size 11.5 EE. They were far too tight. So I returned them and simultaneously ordered another pair in 13 EE. I dropped off the too-small ones day before yesterday and that same day received the replacement shoes (which fit quite well). The problem is that Amazon says there is a delay in refunding the charge for the too-small shoes. They acknowledge that I dropped off the shoes two days ago at UPS, but they are not processing the refund and, in fact, show the refund as scheduled for May 25th - 30 DAYS AFTER I RETURNED THEM! There is no explanation for the delay. In the past on those rare ocassions when I've returned something, Amazon has issued the refund as soon as they had confirmation that I had dropped off whatever item it was at UPS. Not this time. No explanation. I'm not happy.
