  • Amazing work shoes
Size: 10 Color: Black/Charcoal
I got it for my dad who is a contractor and works in construction and he loves them! he says they are comfortable to walk and and he loves that they are steel toed so that sharp objects don't harm him. He also mentioned they are lightweight and the fit is accurate!

  • Great work shoes for construction, warehouse jobs, etc
Size: 13 Wide Color: Black/Charcoal
Great for working in a warehouse. Very protective. I can kick heavy stuff without hurting my foot if I curl my toes slightly. I've used my shoes to avoid pinching my fingers when setting down heavy objects, to get pallet jacks unstuck from pallets by holding the pallet in place with my foot, and to get old rusty latches on delivery vans open by kicking the lever. I know from experience that the steel toe can support over 1,000lbs, just don't tell my boss how I figured that out.... I'm not sure how protective they are when it comes to stepping on nails, but I'll let update my review if I find out! (Stepping on nails sticking up out of boards isn't exactly a rare occurrence in warehouse and construction environments) They're surprisingly water resistant. Stepping in puddles, walking through snow, and even pressure-washing vehicles doesn't get my feet wet. They're quite grippy, and the tread on the soles doesn't seem to wear down. While wearing these, I've only ever slipped on ice and soapy concrete, never on wet wood, concrete floor, metal, etc. They're certainly not comfort shoes, but they're comfortable enough for work. Better than broken toes! They're not light, but they don't feel particularly heavy. I'm still fairly agile while wearing them, they're not great for running, but I can run in them comfortably and without tripping. It's quite comfortable to rest one foot on top of the other while sitting, since the shoes don't bend too easily like sneakers do. They're very durable, aside from the memory foam insoles, which develop holes pretty quickly, although you really can't feel the holes. In my experience, they last about 8 months, which is decent, considering they're relatively inexpensive and stand up to a lot. My first pair had a bit of peeling rubber on the front and the holes in the insoles had gotten quite deep, so I replaced them, although they're still wearable as a backup option. I just bought replacements for my second pair, which are actually in pretty good shape other than the inside of the left shoe wearing down, causing the hard protective layer inside to rub on my heel and cause minor discomfort while walking. The sizing seems accurate. I have fairly wide feet, and wear size 13 in most brands, sometimes 14 (eg, Under Armour). The size 13-Wide fits perfectly, with just enough room for my toes to not be squished together like they are in most shoes. 9/10, would recommend these for anyone with the risk of injuring their feet at work. ... show more

  • So close to perfect So close to perfect
Size: 12 Color: Black/Charcoal
Almost the perfect work shoe! Incredibly comfortable and breathable! Only one complaint. After not even one full day of crawling around on ductwork, the tips of the shoe have started separating and pulling off. Everything else is great.

  • GREAT LIGHTWEIGHT WORK SHOE
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black/Charcoal
Nice lightweight but sturdy shoe- comfortable all day on your feet - doesn’t show signs of wear even after several weeks of steady use. Insole conforms to the shape of your feet

  • Stiff Sneaker Stiff Sneaker
Size: 9 Color: Pebble/Black
Now that I've had these for a month now, and wear them 12 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week, I feel confident they've had time to break in. Initially, they were a little stiff. I expected them to be a little tight, so I ordered half a size larger than regular sneakers, but I realized that appears unnecessary as there is plenty of room in the toe. After a couple of days I started to feel a seam in the liner that was bothering me across my little toe, and I was not wearing these every day yet, but I decided to press on to see if they broke in by wearing them daily and eventually I forgot about it. When I remembered I realized they were no longer bothering me. That was about a week. I've now worn them four weeks. I spray them with Tinactin deodorant after every use, because my foot gets fairly wet with sweat after 12 hours and I've previously had trouble with athletes foot. I know fungus can build up in shoes worn too often, and this can not only cause athletes foot, but also break down the material in the shoe itself. The shoe needs to dry out between uses. Also worth noting, the memory foam insole is comfortable, but not my preference. It is not however, removable, and there is insufficient space to double-up insoles. I have run in these a fair distance and short jaunts, and kicks, and side-stepping and have never felt the steel toe. The sole is stiff and squeaks on some surfaces, and walking through puddles causes no leaks. The top is tuff also, minor scrapes cause no damage. Of course YMMV, I wear these in a warehouse only and change in the car. They are a little dusty from the black dust in the warehouse, but no dirt or mud. Mud and salts can dry the material and cause cracking and rotting. How some have reported such damage so quickly I cannot say, but these appear to hold up very well for my usage, although I do believe the insole will be the first to go. Which is why I don't like memory foam for insoles. They are great for comfort for a large variety of foot shapes, but they are not as durable as a specific-shaped insoles. I plan on getting a black pair to alternate with these. The only desires I have in these is a composite toe that doesn't set off a metal detector, and a lower price. I ordered the beige style that is somehow twice the price of the black style. I don't know the difference as to why. $50 is outstanding, $90 is worth it, but why pay more? Update 6/14/24 After about six months the insoles finally crapped out. When I finally got around to ripping them out they came out easily, I guess the glue broke down over time. Now with new insoles they are fully functional again and the outer is still in good condition, see image. ... show more

  • Useful
Size: 9 Wide Color: Pebble/Black
Slip in is awesome for around-the-house work shoe. I bought one size up per recommendations, but I maybe just needed a 1/2 size up. Comfortable and sturdy. Walking along a sloped surface is where I feel the steel toe due to the oversized shoe.

  • Terrific Security Shoes!
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Charcoal
This might not be brief, but it will be worth it: At 6 months - 1 year I loved them (and wrote the list below). Some time after that, a hole wore through the heel of the soul, but I kept using them because the heel is fairly high off the ground. And at 20 months, they died. The first hole grew and another one wore through the toe of the soul. They are thrashed. Not good daily shoes. Good for 6 months - 1 year. I've updated what I originally wrote somewhat to account for the new information: 1. These shoes are comfortable! 2. I run (with my dog -- fast) in these shoes, they are that comfortable (but a little heavy). 3. No one can stomp on your foot and do you harm, and imagine getting kicked with them! Also, you could run away if you needed to... 4. These shoes are so comfortable, I routinely think I'm wearing my slippers and thus fail to swap them when I get home. I've caught myself many times realizing I wore them all day. 5. I made a mistake when I bought my first pair. I bought 10s instead of 9.5 to avoid hitting the steel plate during a run. Four months later I bought these 9.5 because they clearly accounted for that in the design. The 10s were too big. My feet were sliding around too much in those, even with pads in them. 6. They are roomy vertically so I doubled up some pads in the 9.5s thus increasing their comfort. Yet they remain roomy/comfortable. I never bump up against the plate. 7. You can put HEAVY things on them, I often hang drywall, and you can set it on your shoes feeling no pressure on your feet while keeping the drywall off the ground. 8. They are a tad on the warm side. Terrific in winter, and even good for walking in snow, but in the summer, on a hot day my feet will sweat. Not wonderful. They breathe, but there are tradeoffs. IE It's hard to breathe through a steel plate. So I can't blame the manufacturer. 10. The sole is not particularly flexible, it doesn't exactly conform/bend to your feet during a run, but I wouldn't think buyers of shoes like these would care. I got used to it, but it's worth mentioning in case others might (care). And that leads to my next point: 11. During a run, a sharp rock came up through the bottom of both pairs. I was shocked, the first time, because that had never happened in other shoes. And I suspect the rigidness of the sole may have contributed. They weren't destroyed by that, but if you're walking around a construction site, be careful. Safe on top, not on bottom. 12. I never thought someone stomping on my foot could do me harm until I dropped something heavy on my foot 2 years ago. Wow - ouch! So even if you don't do construction, these are a great upgrade to your personal security for that reason. 13. Even with the steel plate and sturdy construction, I don't find them all that heavy (anymore), but they are heavier and a bit clunky, runners will notice and it took some getting used to. Eventually my laziness, about changing shoes, won out and now I'm used to running in them. And I no longer view them as such a drag. For several months, I loathed running in them until one day I just forgot. 14. I don't consider them waterproof. Water resistant maybe, but don't sell your waders. Your feet will get wet if you submerge them. Especially after the develop holes in the bottom. ... show more

  • Comfortable and sturdy shoes for steel toes!
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black/Charcoal
My daughter got these shoes for work because she needed steel toed shoes. She raved about them and after the insides wore down after almost a year, she ordered a second pair. My husband decided he would try them so I ordered them for him in his size. He said they are very comfortable, even while driving the truck. More comfortable than his regular sneakers. He's very picky about shoes so I'd call that a big win! ... show more
