I took a chance on these since I was getting back into woodworking and doing a lot of home renovation stuff and my beat around shoes were wearing out. With feet outside the normal range it's always a pretty big roll of the dice on if a brand you haven't worn recently will actually fit right. These in a 14 I've found very close (maybe a tad bigger but still a good fit) to the 14 I normally wear in Nike (found that to be the best fit in a 14). They're also shockingly soft inside, real comfy and my toes don't feel constrained like in steel toes I've had in the past. Worn them for some 10-12 hour days of working around the house on projects and/or running to the hardware stores and stayed comfortable. Time will tell how they hold up but they're also a lot more reasonable than a lot of other options. Laces are a bit on the long side if you're wearing them somewhere they might get caught and cause you an issue. I also end up kicking stuff more often because the steel toe makes the shoes longer than you're used to. I'm sure I'll get used to it over time, and at least you don't feel it! Like these enough though that I'm going to try some normal Sketchers next time I'm in the market for every day shoes.

Overall, I like these shoes and have been wearing them pretty regular for work around the house. I ordered an 11 Wide but an not sure I acually got the Wide version as they seem a bit cramped on the width but after wearing for several weeks, there is not discomfort or weird contortions of my toes. There is nothing to indicate on the printed label under the tongue to indicate wide or standard. With the steel toe, they are a wee bit larger on the outside but nothing drastic. Can't comment fully on water resistance yet as I haven't exposed them to anything extreme.

This is my second pair. First pair purchased back in Jan this year 2023. Very comfortable out the box. I work in service at car dealership so I’m on my feet 98% of the time. About Aug. the laces get longer as shoe wears and pull loops closer in ( every pair of work Skechers do that). In sept into Oct. the memory foam inside was squished around toes so I cut front half out. And stitching top of toe area was separating. But it didn’t keep me from getting another pair.

I work on computer but have to go out into the shop alot. Of all the steel toe shoes ive ever tried, these have been the most comfortable; *almost like wearing regular running shoes. Alot of reviews of these shoes complain that they dont have the best grip. This is true. In fact of all the other steel toe shoes ive worn over the years, only one brand had worse grip than the skechers (it was caterpillar; idk if they even make any more). Its not terrible but if youre walking around anything like hydraulic fluid or youre outside on asphalt, then its actually dangerously slippery. THis is my only complaint about these shoes. For me though they're perfect. These seem to wear out kindof quickly. Granted i wear them everywhere basically. The pads inside wear through; the spot on the back of the heel inside the shoe; the bottoms. And *some pairs start squeaking and come apart more quickly than others. Other steel toe brands that ive had were way less comfortable but they all did last alot longer than these.

I like this exact model ( steel toe ) by Skechers. This is my second pair. The pair before did about four years. 50-60 hours a week. Finally started to wear out the treads. They were wasn't much traction left. Seams started tearing between shoe and sole. Again that was 4 years of wear. Should of replaced but was waiting for that 50-60dollar price range that you can find them at. Seem to run about 80-90 most of the time and that's checking with many retailers. Over all I think their a great product.

Ok, I finally bought some dedicated "work" shoes. Not my profession, but a DIYer. I messed up some decent sneakers with paint, so I figured let's get some shoes that will be great in the shop and doing stuff around the house, where I don't care if they get dirty. I've never had steel toed shoes, and I do like that feature, but it definitely takes some getting use to since they are so much heavier than traditional shoes. But they are super comfortable, fit perfectly, and I don't have to worry about smashing toes in my woodshop.

I have not had steel toed shoes in a long time and I have the smashed up toes to prove it. I was very surprised how well these fit and how comfortable they were. I did not comment on how waterproof they are as I have not had them out in the wet, but for the fit and comfort, they are great.

Usually a 10M or 10.5 in sneakers, but safety shoes from other brands in those sizes didn't fit well even with insoles. Tried the lightweight Skechers on sale and was shocked – perfect fit, incredibly comfortable, and stylish. Highly recommend! Thanks, Amazon and Skechers!
