Disclaimer, these are humongous. They don't "fit" the doors of my MINI R61, bit they sound so good I'll run with it. These are my first Skar products, I usually use Sony middle of the road stuff. But, because of the unusual BMW style setup in the MINI base factory system, I ventured toward these. I've heard great things about Skar, and I, so far, agree they are an excellent option. The packaging was sufficient, and they seem well designed. Mine all had some excess glue in places, but I was able to remove it. They sound great on the factory head unit, only minutely underpowered. But, I will have an amp on these when money allows, and they should bump mids up a great deal. I hear Skar speakers have a break-in period anyway, and the low-moderate power from my factory head unit will keep me from over-bumping them lol. My only gripe, is that the speaker grills are way bigger than they need to be. I knew these would be a squeeze before I bought them, and was going to modify my door cards for a flush mount. Unfortunately, the grills were way too large in diameter to mount anywhere on my door cards. Down the road, I'll buy some generic 4" grills, and really set these up better. ... show more

These skar audio 4" speakers have me regretting not trying them sooner! also I'm wishing I hadn't gone with Kenwood 5 1/4 for my doors cause these smaller skars shred. Way better than the larger Kenwood all the way around

I ordered these 2 pairs of these speakers out of the 4, 3 of them work great. I think one came with a faulty tweeter because it ohmed out different than the rest and I couldn't hear the tweeter once I hooked it up. Ended up blowing it up on accident anyway. The others work great and added that crisp sound I was looking for. Great sound for the price. I plan on getting a couple more eventually. I have the 3.5s also and they work great as well. I gave 3 stars due to the faulty tweeter. ... show more
