Built in crossover is great for running on non amplified door speakers. I installed them on my 2001 Dodge Dakota. I have 4 decent door speakers and a 10 in sub with a moderate mono amp in the back. The lower speakers had trouble filling the truck with audio at highway speeds. I bought these to bring treble up higher to counteract it. It made a huge difference and I'm going to buy two more for the rear to send it over the top. I used a 1.5in hole saw attachment and trimmed it with a dremmel. The brackets are just a hair too thick to allow the screws to go from the bracket to the back of the speaker, so I didn't use the metal brackets and jb welded the sleeve into place... it's not going anywhere. Dodge made things really easy and the factory tweeter location for upper models was embossed on the back of the door panel making it easy to know exactly where the hole should go, they also provided me with a harness to nowhere that I was able to use to wire them up. Overall I'm very impressed with the product. It does was I need it to do and at a value that's incredible. I will be buying another set for the rear. ... show more

Mounting is super straightforward in the F150 pillars, the speakers function much better than the OEM. Appearance is nice, but mine are behind the pillar. Quite a bit of power for tiny tweets. These speakers could mount anywhere.

I paired these with 6.5in skar speakers (100rms) ran to a 4 channel amp (80w X 4 @ 4ohms), and they are excellent. These can get piercing loud to where you’ll need to turn down the high frequency on your equalizer. I would never want a more powerful tweeter in my lifetime. They come with a bass blocker to wire into the positive wire. If you don’t install that, they will receive lower frequencies that will harm them. I couldn’t be happier with these. ... show more

I love scar a lot I’ve used them for years but after a couple days of using theses replacement speakers they sadly blew I wish I could’ve gotten some more play time out of them they sounded good while I had them
