Skar Audio engineered the RP-800. 1DM marine amplifier to be unrivaled in both performance and reliability compared to anything else on the marine market its' class. Designing the most efficient, well built, high quality amplifiers is where we start here at Skar Audio, and that is exactly what is delivered in the RP-800. 1DM. The RP-800. 1DM is 1-ohm stable and utilizes a wide array premium internal components that make it extremely powerful and reliable - such as its high speed MOSFET power supply and advanced, marine grade, PCB board layout. Conservatively rated at 800 watts RMS power at a 1-ohm load, with the capabilities of reaching beyond 1, 200 watts at max power output, this amplifier is great for powering the sub stage on your boat/UTV. Furthermore, the oversized 4-gauge power and ground terminals found on the amplifier allow for maximum current flow and therefore higher power output and more efficient operation. You'll have full reign over your amplifier with the built-in user control panel, featuring a bass EQ switch (0, +6, +12dB), and variable adjustment tunings for gain level, low-pass filter, and subsonic filter. In addition to all the above features, this model also features 4-way protection circuitry, which will give the user the peace of mind knowing they are protected against damage to the amplifier for various reasons - including electrical shortage, overheating, low voltage, and more. Our marine amplifiers feature a special marine coating internally that allow them to withstand the harshest conditions for long lasting use. This amplifier comes with a remote subwoofer level control (bass knob) allowing the user to have full control over their bass from anywhere on the watercraft.

These SUBS HIT – Great Upgrade for My F-150! I got the refurbished one for $30 cheaper, 4 months no problemo. I bought a used 2020 Ford F-150 with no premium sound, and needed something to bring the music to life. Started with one 8" sub in a sealed box powered by an RP 800.1D amp (I went with the white marine version—looks clean). It was decent at 4 ohms, but after 20 years away from the audio scene, I knew I needed more. I used to have 50lbs of extra stuff under my seat, this helps clean it up and sounds great. I added a second 8" dual 2-ohm Skar sub and dropped the load to 2 ohms using their prefabbed ported box. WORLD of difference. This setup absolutely hits—tight, clean, and loud for 8s. I double-checked everything on the Skar website to make sure it all matched up, and the results speak for themselves. My dad enjoys the deeper sound, my wife loves the added fullness to the music, and most importantly—my 17-year-old son now begs to drive my truck just for the system. Install was easy, the box fits perfectly under the rear seat and looks factory. Multiple people have seen it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t stock. This sub, amp, and box combo slaps no matter what genre you play. If you're looking for solid bass fill and don’t want to break the bank, this setup is 100% worth it. I’ve been running it daily for over 4 months—2 hours a day, high power—and it’s still going strong. If anything, i do not like the white Skar logo on the box, so I am going to darken it out with paint or marker, which ever smells less in the truck. I added this amplifier to my boat to drive a Kicker 10" subwoofer tube. It's integrated in to the rest of my system and worked great out of the box. If plugging in with multiple amps, I do recommend a ground-loop isolator (which I used). What I can say is that this thing absolutely thumps. My boat's sound system is deceptive, it doesn't look like it packs a punch until I power it on. But when it's on, hold on to your hat. I can say with certainty that this drives that sub beautifully. I honestly keep the bass level (on the remote) at 50%, because that's all I ever need. It really exceeded my expectations, and it works like a champ. I keep the amp under a seat (in Texas) where it could get really hot. But I never ran into any heat issues. In fact, I'd check on it, and it was surprisingly not hot. Even under some serious load. It also has gotten wet with no issues. So, my final verdict is that this is a great amp, and it gets the job done. ... show more

This little class d amp really puts in work.. I have it hooked up to three 12s One of which is the skar EVL 12 and has a peak power of 2500 Watts RMS of about 1250, and the other two subs are the IX series skar 12s, which only can handle about 400 watts peak each so about 200 watts RMS each.. with all of them hooked up to this one amp I can really get the windows rattling and shaking ... show more

This thing is great. Probably the best value for the money marine amp out there right now. You have a lot of flexibility in terms of wiring. Right now I have 8 4 ohm speakers wired in pairs to each of the 4 channels, resulting in a 2 ohm final load and doubling my power to $250 watts per channel. I have this mounted to the inside of my center console with a 1/4 inch spacer to help with airflow and it never gets too hot, even when playing full blast for hours. My only complaint is that there are no fuses on the amp itself, so you need to have inline fuses for it to function, not a huge deal but adds a little more to the wiring complication in the marine environment. Skar may get a bad rap, but both myself and the many other people I know who have products from them have never had problems. Take the time to install these correctly and set your gain correctly and you won’t have issues. Even when using cheap $70 Belva 8 inch speakers this thing sounds great. ... show more
