Very nice think it will do the job and some 1995 i pirchased a Lawrence 350a works ok but this one rocks Will test it this spring Update. Takes a bit to setup and learning curve can be tasking but nice

    • Not at all what I was hoping for.

Works as a depth sounder, and shows fish, but don't expect a lot more. I've watched dozens of videos on how to set the unit up as well as tuning the transponder location and fitment. The side radar does not seem to work for me.

Very happy with it!! I like the preloaded maps. We used it on Lake Shasta CA. on a 7 day family houseboat vacation. It has the depths, water temp, maps, side scan, fish finder. Everything you need to fish and enjoy your day. Never felt like you needed any other navigation. I have it on my SeaRay 1996 - 215 Express Cruiser. My other boat 1990 SeaRay open bow has a older Eagle Fish Elite 640 that has no where near the detail this one has. ... show more

This Lowrance elite fs 9in has been the reason for my last 6 trips on lake stevens pulling limits of kokanne. If the sonar shows a school off to a side I deutsch to side scan and find the side where the fish are and mark them. I then swing around in my 120 pdl kayak and pull fish from that school. I get better using this elite fs every week when I hit the water. I was gkingbto buy the HDS but for a kayak the elite is amazing. A 20ah lithium battery on Amazon is $60 and more than you need fir a day fishing and only weights 6 lbs. Everything has come along way so I woukd say get the elite sf and start feeling like your cheating because you can actually find and stay on the fish much easier. If your fishing from a kayak yak hobby has the best mount for the transducer, it's very over built and easy to fit to your kayak especially if it's an oldtown 120 pdl. ... show more
