  • An Eyelash curler that is safe and easy to use--and works as it should!
Style: EH2351AC
This is my first time to use a "heated" electronic battery-operated eyelash curler, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and effective it was at curling my eyelashes. At first I was a little nervous because I was afraid it might burn my lashes or even my eyelid, but the heat is not at all that hot. It was a little warm but not hot enough to burn you. It definitely worked at curling my lashes quickly and there was no need to turn and squeeze my lashes like what I used to do with a regular eyelash curler. Together with mascara, the effect was even more noticeable with this heated eyelash curler. I had longer curled lashes as a result! You can even carry this around with you because it's as small in length as a mascara. I like the fact that it uses only one AA alkaline battery, so there's no need to have to recharge it to a charger (which I don't like doing because I would need to get a charger and an outlet). Using one size AA alkaline battery is just more convenient. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Very Difficult; Too Complicated
I love the look of curly eyelashes--it makes my eyes look super-big and glam, like I'm wearing false lashes, plus it gives my face an instant lift. My previous method for curling my lashes was to simply hit my metal eyelash curler Shiseido The Makeup Eyelash Curler with a shot of hot air from my hair dryer and that did the trick. However, it's not always convenient to carry around a hair dryer just to heat your metal eyelash curler. With my busy schedule, sometimes I'm forced to apply my make-up wherever I can, which turns out is not always in front my vanity or in my bathroom next to my hair dryer, or even near an electrical outlet. So, I was so psyched to find out they made electric eyelash curlers!!! What a neat invention, I thought. My first electric eyelash curler was much like this one:Talika Heated Eyelash Curler 1 ea. However, the brand I had didn't really get hot enough for a strong, long lasting curl. Plus, the casing of the curler was rather shabby, and finally it just went dead (at a rather inopportune time might I add, while I was at a resort and couldn't buy another one and of course had left my old manual one behind--ugh!). After that horrid disappointment, having suffered an entire romantic holiday sans curled lashes due to an electric eyelash curler I couldn't depend on, I went back to using the hairdryer-on-metal method. I figured at least it couldn't break on me at the worst time possible. But in my heart I often wondered...was there a good electric eyelash curler out there? Then I saw this heated eyelash curler, and I thought maybe they had improved the tool. Furthermore, I read some reviews that the curler got really hot, which I thought would overcome one of the problems of my previous curler. However, I was sorely disappointed with this curler. It is shaped exactly like a mascara wand. Yes, it gets hot, but the whole concept is messed up. You have to manually sit there and push on your lash line, and then you have to keep going over the lash to warm it up enough to make it pliable, and then you have to keep holding it down, holding it down, holding it down....oh Lord have mercy it's all just too much trouble. And the curl really doesn't lock in, because the curler provides no tension or crimping, and you really need the tension of the two hot metal surfaces squeezing the eyelash. The concept is just off and faulty. I kept the product because I really didn't have time to fool with sending it back and all that. So it just sits in my make-up drawer because I hate to throw something away that I spent money on. I figure maybe I'll find a use for it one day, like to heat up some tiny object that is I don't know what. And in case you are wondering, yeah, I'm back to the hairdryer-on-metal curler method again, IF I'm fortunate enough to be by an outlet. If not, I go without curled lashes (ain't it a shame). I saw Panasonic makes a more traditional-type electric lash curler, like the first one I hadPanasonic EH2331P Heated Eyelash Curler. I might try it again, but I'll admit I'm a bit gun shy, having been burnt (no pun intended) in the past. So I ask the cosmetics universe: Can anyone out there make a decent, effective, and dependable heated eyelash curler? ... show more

  • Works great but uses batteries like crazy
Style: EH2351AC
Here is the trick to use this eyelash curler if you have straight eyelashes that are hard to curl. You have to use mascara!!! For reals. I tried without the mascara and it didn't do jack but warm up my eyelashes like some other people mentioned. It also did not work with clear mascara. It has to be colored mascara. Waterproof mascara is the best as its the lightest and wont weigh down your eyelashes as much. Also. This thing gets HOT with new batteries. I think I burned my eyeball once because I was not being careful. And the last tip. Get some rechargeable batteries. This thing goes thru batteries like crazy. Oh. And the one thing I REALLY like about this curler, I have a cowlick in my eyelashes. Just a bunch on my left eye that spread apart and go wonky when I put on mascara. I HATE IT! A normal eyelash curler only exaggerates the issue. With this one I can have more control and push my eyelashes in the direction I want. How I use the curler 1) turn on curler and wait for indicator to turn pink 2) while waiting get a piece of tissue 3) when curler is ready slather on the mascara on your first eye. Wiggle the brush to get in between all the eyelashes with a thick coat. Don't worry if you look like a TV evangelist most of the mascara will come off on the curler. 4) start at the base of the lashes and wiggle the bar to get between your eyelashes. gently press back and up to get the start of the curl. Hold a few sends and super slow start to sweep up 5) Wipe off the excess mascara off the curler on the tissue between strokes 6) Do the same with the rest of your lashes. I usually start in the inner eye and work out. Don't forget to whip the curler Do the same steps with the other eye. You can add more mascara on top of the eyelashes that have been curled if you really do want to look like a TV Evangelist. Last step is to look in the mirror and be impressed with who huge your eyeballs look when you moved your eyelashes out of way ;-D ... show more

  • Good idea but difficult to use
Style: EH2351AC
Compact and light weight. Requires a AA battery. Heats quickly. “Curler” head is small and flat. While the “teeth” in same seperate lashes, the “flat” curling surface is too short and wide. Hard to use.
