I walked into my hairstylist, who has been doing my hair for 30+ years, and she asked me what product I was using to get such great curl definition! I said, “I know right, it’s easy to use and not expensive for the size of container that you get”. I have natural curly hair that never produced more than a frizzy mess or a wave at best so I have been curling or straightening it for decades; it was easier and I didn’t know how to get the most out of my hair. Enter the curly girl era, I decided to try to see what would happen if I just let it be curly! Well, if you don’t change something nothing will change; so I watched maaaany curly girl videos, purchased maaany products they recommended (many expensive ones including the ones that are supposed to make you say Wow!) and nothing was easier or provided such great results as this! I in no way have Goldilocks or Shirley Temple ringlets and don’t take the time to pin or finger curl, but let me say my hair went from an undefined mess to hair that actually has recognizable, defined curls. Buy a container of this and a curl defining brush, one with the ridges on the side. What I do is wash my hair, put this on my wet hair, put it up in a hair tie and leave it while I wash the rest of my body. Then, I rinse most of this out, but not all, and put my hair up in a towel. I then dry my body and right afterwards I flip my head upside down over the tub and use the curly hair brush from the back of my neck over my head towards my feet, then come underneath to brush back away from the sides and then away from my forehead. I flip my head back over, scrunch scrunch scrunch and either diffuse or let it air dry… it’s that easy! I hope this helps you get off the fence!

I tried the SKALA Mais Cachos 2-in-1 Conditioning Cream & Cream to Comb and I’m impressed! The jar is HUGE (over 35oz), so you really get your money’s worth. The texture is lightweight but creamy, and it spreads easily through my hair without feeling heavy or greasy. I used it both ways: first as a rinse-out conditioner, then later as a leave-in. It left my curls (3B/C) soft, defined, and frizz-controlled without weighing them down. My hair also felt moisturized for days, which is a big deal because a lot of leave-ins either coat the hair or fade too quickly. I also appreciate that this cream is free of sulfates, parabens, and mineral oils. The scent is light and pleasant—not overpowering. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly curl cream that works double duty, this is a great pick. After laying in a hospital bed for a year with nobody washing my hair when I finally recouped my hair was a pure disaster. I have white girl medium coiled hair, dry and gray. I saw this product on YouTube and figured I'll give it a try before shaving. It made the matting easy to comb out. But, after 4 months of use...wow!! My hair is silky soft, my curls are defined and I noticed this morning my hair shines!! I had tears of joy. The price may scare you away thinking if it's cheap it's crap...nope. its the best product ive used on my hair in 50 years! Scent is not strong, just the hydration. Fyi, for curly gray ladies my products I use for beautiful hair. Shampoo and basic conditioner- Cake "curl friend " pink bottles. I had a chemical burn on my hair and had bleach and everything else imaginable done to it. Mind you, my hair is incredibly curly! Nothing could revive my curls like this product did! A Staple for Wavy & Curly Hair – Soft, Defined, and Lightweight! I’ve tried a lot of curl creams over the years, but the Skala Curl Cream has truly become a must-have in my routine. I have 2B–2C wavy/curly hair, and this product delivers everything I look for: softness, definition, moisture, and best of all — no heaviness. From the first use, I noticed how soft and hydrated my hair felt. It defines my curls better than any other product I’ve tried, and it doesn’t weigh them down at all — which is a huge plus for looser curl patterns like mine. My hair still feels light and touchable, not crunchy or greasy. One thing to keep in mind is that a little goes a long way. If you use too much, it can get a bit flaky and look like dandruff, but once you figure out the right amount for your hair, it works beautifully. It’s all about balance! Sometimes it will leak or spill but you just have to make sure the lid is screwed on completely. I’ve even found a few different ways to use it: as a leave-in styler after wash day, or even as a light rinse-out conditioner on days when I don’t want to do a full wash. It gives my hair just enough moisture and hold to last a few more days. With this in my routine, my wash days easily stretch to 5–6 days without my curls falling flat. I also bought the shampoo and conditioner from the same line, but personally, I didn’t love them as much — I’d recommend sticking with the curl cream if you want results. You can even pair it with a mousse if you’re looking for extra volume, but honestly, it holds and defines so well on its own that you don’t need anything else. Whether you want volume or just smooth, defined curls, this product can be adapted to your routine. It’s versatile, affordable, and effective.! You get so much for such a good amount and it’s so affordable! Truly a gem for wavy and curly hair
