The media could not be loaded. Updated review: I’ll start by saying the company definitely has a commitment to good customer care and service. After my first review they gave me a refund and sent another camera in case the previous camera had issues. The video quality is the same as the first camera- it takes good videos and it’s easy to adjust the resolution and quality in the settings. The settings themselves are pretty easy to figure out once you get a hand of adjusting it all. The camera comes with a good amount of accessories to start out for any action adventures you need to record , I use mine mostly for motorcycle rides but also for snorkeling (the waterproof case works and the underwater video quality is also decent however videos will need to be edited for better color outcome) and snowboarding. I have not had the same issue with the new camera as I did with the last one , making sure the camera is recording and it does not stop recording randomly or refuse to listen to me pushing the button so I’d say it’s safe to assume the first camera I got was just acting up for me. The wifi connection is still iffy , just making sure my phone is on airplane mode and no other wifi can interfere with the connection and the videos download no problem (if not slowly) I will add more pictures / videos once it is sunnier out as the weather is preventing me from doing a lot of things with the camera. Thank you to the company for making a good starter action camera and for the great customer service :) Original review : The videos themselves come out pretty good, the sound quality isn’t that bad and it comes with all the set up needed to deck out a motorcycle, car, bike, boat , whatever your plan is. My issues come with the app and wifi connection being very slow and stopping me from being able to download the videos , the camera not recording periodically when turned on and set up which is very disappointing when doing specific videos. It’s a cheap camera so don’t expect anything super great, it’s a good cheap beginning camera to have and mess around with but it’s time for me to get one that connects to my phone without taking hours and records when I need it to. I messaged the seller on their website of these issues and their response was to return it where I got it so not super helpful

Shopping for a first action camera has been a challenge. All the options. All the reviews. I took a bet on this unit because the price was right and the description seemed straight forward. I just finished unbox and first test. It was very easy and intuitive to use. I like it. I am keeping it. But I cant figure out why they say 40MP in the ad. The test photo clearly was not 40MP. I looked on the box and it says 12MP. I see the ad never shows the back of the box. See photo. I did not try the dash cam loop. That looks easy also. This little camera does everything. Just not at 40MP.

So I originally posted a 3 star review because I really wished the camera had done kind of mounting screw at the bottom so it can be mounted without the waterproof casing. I was contacted by SJCAM and they helped me with my problem by basically gifting me a housing mount for the camera. Now I can have an external power source attached to the camera and I can use the mounts that came with it. Major kudos to SJCAM for going Above and Beyond what most companies do. Other companies I can't even get a sticker with their brand on it meanwhile the folks at SJCAM helped me with housing at their expense. 🫡 Now the camera 📸. This little this is a WORKHORSE! 🐎 It can pretty much do it ALL while costing $50 or less. Recording from 4k resolution down to VGA(640x480). Picture resolution goes from 1.3MP to 40MP. It's got different recording angles for narrow or wide shots. It's got stabilization. It's got all the pro controls like ISO, EIS, WDR, WB, EV, color(like black and white or retro), burst shot and even as a dash cam. My favorite feature is the time lapse features. I like making time lapse photos and videos of nature and this camera is perfect for that. I even ordered a 2nd SJCAM because I wanted to do more time lapse projects. It's just so easy to use and the quality of the video and pictures surpasses my needs.
