I decided to get one for my wife as a gift for our anniversary because a friend of ours has one and he absolutely loves it and I couldn’t believe the video & image quality, all the features, and just how small and portable it is! The problem that I ran into was that I figured I’d save a bit of money and get one that had been returned. It was labeled “Used-Good Condition” but when it arrived, both screens flickered but never actually turned on and it was missing the battery door! I wasn’t thrilled considering our anniversary was a few days away but I returned it and had it credited to my gift card balance to put towards another one. This time I thought, “If I get one that’s “Used-Like New Condition”, surely it will be fine!”. It wasn’t fine. The screens worked this time around and it was in great condition but it wouldn’t stay on for than 5 seconds no matter if you had it plug in, had a fully charged battery, etc.! So moral of the story just buy a new one.

Top of the line go pros cost a ton and this hero 9 is still amazing films great 4k video, and the app go pro provides is so easy to use, I use it for motorcycle riding and the amount of possibility's with different accessories amazing, I get about an hour thirty of film before the camera dies so I do recommend a 2nd battery if you are gonna be filming more

I bought this camera for my car dashboard. I wasn’t looking for much, but once I started discovering the features it offers I was amazed. The only thing that upset me is its shooting resolutions settings. I still haven’t figured out the best settings yet but it’s doing the job for sure. It’s very small inside which makes it really handy. Need to buy memory card separate and buy some extra batteries as well because the battery runs for one or two hour only depending on uses. But at the end if you like to capture it’s worth it. Nice camera. Thanks.

My venture into the world of action cameras led me to acquire the GoPro HERO9 Black. The camera is a bundle of impressive features with a few caveats that are worth considering. The HERO9’s video quality is nothing short of amazing. Shooting in 5K, I was able to capture the minute details of my mountain biking adventures with exceptional clarity. The image stabilization is a game-changer - it kept the footage smooth despite the rough terrain. Photos are equally impressive, thanks to the 20MP sensor. The colors are vivid, and the dynamic range is quite expansive, making for some professional-looking shots. The dual-screen setup is a highlight. The front-facing LCD is a godsend for framing shots when you're in selfie mode or vlogging. The rear touch screen is bright and responsive. However, I did notice that it can be a challenge to use with wet hands or when wearing gloves, which isn't ideal for an action camera. On the downside, the user interface didn’t meet my expectations. For newcomers to GoPro, the learning curve can be steep. The settings are extensive, which is great for customization but can be overwhelming. It often felt like I needed to push through too many screens to change a simple setting. GoPro's user manual is there, but it lacks the depth required to navigate this complexity with ease. A more streamlined UI or a more comprehensive guide would make this less of an issue. Battery life is another area where the HERO9 could improve. While it's understandable that higher resolutions eat up more power, I didn’t anticipate needing to swap out batteries mid-activity so frequently. If you're planning to use this camera for extended periods, especially in cold weather which further shortens battery life, additional batteries are a must. But, it tends to run hot, which had me worried about long-term durability, though it hasn’t presented any functional issues to date. In terms of accessories, the mounting options are plentiful, but I found that some of the best mounts and mods are sold separately, which adds to the overall cost. In conclusion, the GoPro HERO9 Black is a powerhouse capable of capturing breathtaking visuals. It's built for the adventurers and the creators. However, be prepared to invest not only in additional batteries but also in the time to master its interface. If you can navigate these hurdles, you’ll find the HERO9 to be an invaluable addition to your gear collection.

I got the old version 9 to save money. It is super. Solid and well made. Great video output. Took it in the pool and was taking fun underwater footage of the kids. Plan to take it on the mountain bike this summer. I think the new v11 and v12 are a little better with colors from what I've seen but who cares. This one is great at almost half the price!
