This has to be my favorite sand yet. Very fine but not easily disturbed. Didn't mess with my water at all. I bought 3 bags and I used this along with their Flamingo pebbles, tank looks great.

This is a fantastic product. Works amazing in my nano tank and is absolutely beautiful. In 30+ years of aquarium keeping I have never had a product that had ZERO CLOUDINESS upon addition of water. I have had this sand in my aquarium for many months now. Not only is this color absolutely gorgeous but the sand was so clean I didn't have to worry about the clarity of my tank. A little expensive but due to its rarity I think it's worth it. For you fish enthusiasts I had 2 baby platys hiding in the tank when I took out the other fry and my betta befriended them. I don’t often review stuff on Amazon, usually products are just satisfactory and I have nothing to say. But this aquarium sand is the best I’ve used. I’ve used various different brands of sand over the years, and usually it doesn’t matter how long or well you rinse, there’s going to be some cloudiness. This was super easy to rinse and the water isn’t cloudy. There are no floating pieces of sand that get wasted, it’s soft, and the color is beautiful, it’s just really great aquarium sand and I don’t think I’ll use any other brand from here on. ... show more

    • Clouds water, repeatedly

Very pretty, berry colored just like described. Very fine sand, almost like powder really. Initially clouded the water, took a couple days to completely clear up, no big deal I expected that, as with most sand. My big issue, reason for 3 stars, whenever I do maintenance on the tank, ie. Clean the substrate and ornaments, any disturbance of the sand clouds the water again. So annoying really, I end up wasting filter cartridges to try and get it cleared up again. At some point I’ll need to break down the tank and remove it. Thankfully it’s only a 20 gallon. If you never disturb your substrate, it’s a nice color. Expensive sand that will end up in my rock garden. I purchased based on reviews. Maybe I got a bad batch? Not sure how though really. Good luck! ... show more

I wanted something a little different to bring out a white betta fish. This sand is very fine, and I love the color. I wanted something that looked more natural but was different than the standard white or black. It didn't make the water cloudy, and I had no issues when I cleaned the gravel. The sand is fine but it's not super light, so movement doesn't necessarily move the stand. It settles quickly and I can use a gravel cleaner with no issues. Highly recommend! ... show more
