I’ve only used this with dry foods so I cannot speak to the leakability. Definitely would not be leakproof between the inside compartments though. Love the container. I can stack multiple options in the large compartment.

I like it. It packs more than enough food for a grade schooler and is a good, generous size for snacks for an adult. No way is it a good size for an adult meal, like some reviewers wanted it to be. The only con is that the snack lids are hard to pop open. I bought two of these and both top snack lids are hard to open. I have other sistema containers that have these lids too and they open easily. To solve the issue others are having with the large section being too large, I sectioned off food with silicone cups that can be found on amazon. Look up lunch kits silicone. ... show more

The only complaint I have about these, and it is not really a huge one, is that you can't put anything other than a large item in the large compartment. I was using these as carriers for dog food while traveling, hoping to use one daily, and to have kibble in the main compartment and treats (cheese, hot dog, etc) in the two smaller ones. The lid, however, is slightly domed, so anything in the main compartment can fall into the space between the lid and the snack compartments. It didn't work for me, but it would work well for a sandwich (if your sandwich didn't have any messy or liquid bits) or for a large item. However, if I were using it for a sandwich, the "treat" compartments were pretty small for sides. You could fit maybe 4-5 baby carrots, if they were small and short, in one compartment. The lids on the sides look like they should hinge, but I think they would break pretty quickly if you tried that, so I just removed them when I needed to access a treat. ... show more

6 week update: we’ve been alternating 2 of these for daycare lunches and they’re holding up really well! I still like packing things into a takeout container for damp foods and portion control but they’re perfectly sized for a 2.5 year old who’s a hearty eater! I like that this fits perfectly in my kid’s lunchbox, but I wish the dividers were taller, you loose a lot of volume to the tiny flap handles. I pack it with wet stuff in a 1/2 pint (8pz) plastic take away container so lunch has lots of lids fit the preschool teacher to open but everything is separated! ... show more

These are awesome for bringing two snacks in one container...and they won’t get mixed together! I wouldn’t recommend a dry snack and a wet snack in the same container however. The lid seems tight and secure, but the little plastic tray inside just slips in and liquids would seep in/out around it. These are perfect for dry baby snacks in a diaper bag, a lunch box, snacks on an airplane or at the zoo. They’re super handy! ... show more

My son isn’t into sandwiches and this is the perfect solution. He takes a bunch of little snacks and I combine small silicone cups with this box and it works great. They last YEARS. wash great in the dishwasher.

Perfect for my kids in K and 3rd grade. very easy to use and fits a good amount of food. Not too difficult to find lunch boxes that they fit in either. Some brands are too big and kids end up with an adult size lunch box. Lids fit on very snug and are durable. This is, by far, my favorite sandwich/lunch container. It can handle large slices of bread and a couple of sides. The clips work well and stand up to use over time. The unit fits nicely in an LL Bean lunchbox (see picture below). The only negative is the covers on the small portion sections.
