  • Nice Controller ..some difficulty getting setup
Configuration: Controller
Nice controller, I would expect a faster working plug and play product when spending this kind of money. Had issues on two pc's with the sound driver not installing correctly and serato not outputting sound took longer than i expected to get setup. Serato not very user intuitive Used with Virtual DJ 8 and it worked flawless( I would recommend using over serato, it just works better overall). Overall the unit is nice lots of options to remix on the fly. If you have enough go the xtra mile and get the SZ overall tho it is awesome especially with video. you can do alot of customizations. ... show more

  • Love it, but...
Configuration: Controller
Comfortable controller. With lot of new effects and details. Perfect for scratching and mixing live Profesional controller Good quality materials Stronger Jogs Very sensitive pads (Cool enough) Use it with Serato, Traktor has some issues to solve yet with this mapping (I do use the official mapping for traktor and its fine but not perfect if you are going to perfom live for large groups of people. Lag and Stuttering) ... show more

  • Amazing controller
Configuration: Controller
This controller has everything you’ll ever need. I was happy to finally get 4 channels to do more complex chops and transitions. Such a sold controller, it should last a long time!

  • First Numark NS6, Now Pioneer DDJ-SX2
Configuration: Controller
Purchased item used February 2018. As expected, I did not receive in the original box but was provided a USB and Pioneer Power Supply. Not receiving a packing slip with the serial number was unexpected (FYI located under the controller). After I tested all parts I can confirm that I got the best deal for this model. Adding the 3-yr warranty still put the cost under the standard price significantly. I previously had a Numark NS6 I purchased 5 yrs ago (new) but the right platter intermittently stopped allowing me to scratch, I would experience loud feedback during some sessions and the device would stop reacting forcing me to reboot. I've used the DDJ-SX2 for a number of different events this month and it feels good to finally play without concerns. There are a number of accessories for this device that I'm going to invest in. Looking at my schedule, I'll probably use this device pretty often at least for the next few weeks. I'll check back after 90 days of use. ... show more

  • This controller is one of the best on the market
Configuration: Controller
This controller is one of the best on the market. very responsive and pretty well built. I don't particularly like the headphone volume, sometimes it can get kinda noisy but overall i love this controller.

  • Disappointed
Configuration: Controller
It was fine until it stopped working after 3 weeks. Toward the end of my gig, The music stopped and all the lights went out on the controller. Serato still showed the controller as plugged in. However, the controller was off. Unplugged it several times, same result. Lucky for me I had my Mixtrack Pro 2 to finish the gig. I called Pioneer, they told me it sounded like a hardware issue. Wow, really! I sent it back to Amazon. Waiting for the replacement. Looking back, I should have waited for the NS7 III. I'll update after I receive the replacement. ... show more

  • Excellent quality deck.
Configuration: Controller
This is a bangin piece of hardware. I normally play on the Nexus 2000s or 900s at clubs, and I actually enjoy this deck more. It's not as beefy as the SZ but it is big enough to play with the big boys. My favorite gig set up is the SX2 paired with 2 CDJ 2000s or 900s for four upfront decks. Truly a quality built product. ... show more

  • ***ORDERED THE CONTROLLER TWICE AND BOTH WERE DEFECTIVE***
Configuration: Controller
***ORDERED THE CONTROLLER TWICE AND BOTH WERE DEFECTIVE*** I was so excited to start mixing with this, I actually ordered it for my next gig on 9/30/16. Unfortunately, I will have to use my old equipment because both of the units they sent me were defective. Let me tell you what happened: 1st Unit - I ordered the first unit, it came, rather quickly. I plugged it in to my MacBook Pro, and tried to use it with Virtual DJ, it didn't work. Then I did some troubleshooting online and realized that I needed Serato DJ. I ordered a monthly account with Serato and tried to plug in the controller again. The software read "Plug in compatible hardware to start mixing". I did even more troubleshooting and found out how to check my MIDI connections. I ran MIDI Audio in the MacBook and it actually listed the DDJ SX-2. I turned off the Unit, unplugged everything, and plugged everything back in. Nothing. - When the unit was plugged in, it would initially run through its light demo, which was actually really cool. Then, it would shut off all lights except for one blue button on each deck, and a red flashing button on the fourth deck's volume panel. - I did more trouble shooting and found out that I may need to install drivers and firmware so I did. There was a guy on Youtube who said that you need to hold the "switch" and "power" buttons down at the same time. I got the lights to flash in the middle just like the video showed, but when I tried to run the update my computer said "DDJ SX-2 not connected". - I then called Pioneer and they walked me through the process of checking my computer, as well as my connections. At the end of the call the Pioneer representative concluded that the unit was defective. He advised that the DDJ SX-2 should work right when you plug it in, and it doesn't matter the order of plugging it in, or running the software. It is just supposed to work. Also he said that the lighting I was seeing on the controller was abnormal. He advised I get it fixed or return it and so I returned it. 2nd Unit - Same process as the first unit. - I called pioneer again too. 3rd Unit - Amazon won't send it to me because they said it is likely the item will arrive defective. Order at your own risk, looks like I have to go back to Numark. It's bad though because I have to wait till next month since the Numark's are more expensive. ... show more
