My only concern is whether it is big enough to fit all around an oversized mattress without picking up at the corners but this one is, it easily fits around and tucks under. I've had to wash this quite a few times since we got it. I didn't want a "plastic bag" feeling (or sounding) waterproof mattress pad because who would? It's hard enough waking to a wet bed. That being said, this one washes really well and stays soft. I do not dry it all the way; rather letting it hang to dry the rest of the way. I figure this will help the backing not to crack or wear prematurely which I have had issues with in the past with other mattress protectors. It doesn't zip over the mattress but rather fits on like a regular fitted bedsheet would. This makes it easy to pop off for washing. Update: 6/4/22 I’ve had this for under 6 months and was told today that the brand new mattress underneath this protector has started getting wet. Ugh. I still believe that this has been a comfortable protector for my little offender, but I’ll need to invest in yet another protector. ... show more

I recently had to re-do my boys bedroom into a shared bedroom. They both received new mattresses and it was important that I had protection on them. My youngest still wets the bed every once in awhile. Accidents happen, but cleaning up said accidents are a total pain and can ruin mattresses quickly! The night after I put this on my son had an accident. Totally saved his mattress!! This may be the best mattress saver out there and plan to get 2 more for all our other beds as well! Fits great! When I needed a new mattress protector, I was just looking for something reasonably priced that added another layer of protection between the mattress and the sheets. I wasn't looking for one that was waterproof specifically, it was just kind of an added bonus. Now I'm so glad I got one that's waterproof! Our dog had a little accident on our bed when we weren't looking- oops!
