    • Shakey fire pit but gets the job done after some modifications.
Size: 22 Inch
Pros: It keeps your fire off the ground, has an ember protective screen lid, it is light weight, and it arrived quickly which are great features that we needed in a pinch when we realized we were staying at a campground that required fire pits to be raised from the ground and have an ember screen. Not only did this fire pit meet our needs for that one trip but we were able to get a couple of months of use out of it before it eventually rusted through; I would say we got our money’s worth from this fire pit but there are better more durable fire pits on the market (all be it at a higher price, but by the time you go through three of these you will have paid for a better quality fire pit). Cons: The fire pit arrived in a pretty beat up box which did not protect the screen from arriving dented; these dents in the screen became more pronounced after a few uses due to the heating and cooling of the metal. Assembly would have been very simple had the screw holes lined up, I had to rest I’ll one hole after forcing some of the other screws in. The hook on top of the screen immediately broke off but that wasn’t a big deal because the fire pit comes with a log poker that fit through the mesh screen so we used that to move the screen. The morning after we first used it, rust was visible on both the fire pit as well as the screen. It took about 3 months of fairly regular use before the first rust hole appeared and by the end of the third month the fire pit was no longer usable because of the rust holes. The shape of the pit does not allow for air to be pulled up through the logs which causes it to burn as coals rather than sustaining flames. I fixed this by drilling about 12 holes in the bottom of the fire pit so air could be pulled through the logs and sustain flames. The base was very shakey and the feet didn’t reach the ground evenly. ... show more
