With return-to-office in full swing, one saving grace was the Keurig coffee machine that I could bring some pods in to make sure I had some decent coffee throughout the day...until the machine broke. Enter this little guy. We can't leave anything IN the office, so an ultra-portable little system to be able to run some pods through on demand? Yes please! It's not the fastest. You have to add as much water as you want in, and that's pretty much what you get out (which I find to be a step up from the standard machines with their pre-determined sizes), so you can get a perfectly filled cup by using it to add water to the system. Add the pod, be careful of the pokey bits inside the lid, add your water, turn it on, start it up, and after a lot of loud random sounding noises, coffee slowly comes out. It's a beautiful thing if you keep your expectations in check! As a lightweight backup for when you need your coffee, I'm surprised at how well this little thing has been working in the couple of days I've been using it.

When this little one cup coffee maker hit my radar, I ordered it. My husband does not drink coffee and I use a half-caff ground coffee and limit myself to only 1-2 cups before noon in order to avoid sleep problems. I really am happy with this simple, no frills coffee maker for the following reasons: • Very easy to use and fits into small space on counter (see photo). • Saves me $$ on buying coffee as fewer grounds are needed to achieve a strong cup of coffee compared to cone filter pour-over or French Press methods. • Very easy to pour water into. • Very easy to clean (coffee ground area and water area very easy to get hand into and use paper towel to wipe down). • Descaling feature with reminder/warning light. • Makes a good strong hot cup of coffee with fewer grounds. • Nice instruction manual included. • Includes a K-cup insert holder and also includes a mesh coffee grounds holder with cap. • Regular coffee cups fit well into base to catch brewed coffee (I have used 2 different shaped 20 ounce mugs and one 16 ounce mug to use with the max 12 ounce water fill). • I like that the machine does not work without the minimum amount of water. • Overflow hole if you accidentally over-fill water. I was debating on the star rating of this coffee maker between 4-5 stars. Things that I did not like that you may wish to consider are the following: • Long 26” permanently attached electric cord is very stiff and does not coil to hide excess (see photo above). • Handle on coffee maker that is intended to make portability more convenient actually gets in the way of making coffee. The handle does not stay in the upright position (as erroneously shown in product photos) and therefore falls down to cover the water fill lines (see photo). • No removable drip catcher in bottom of machine. • K-cup creates very little mess but coffee grounds basket requires a little clean-up after brewing and final coffee in cup has very fine sediment in bottom of cup. I use this maker twice a day and will report back if it does not have a long life span. My review is based on 10 days of continuous use twice a day. I considered giving a 4 star review because of the cord and handle issues mentioned above. I also think that the handle is completely unnecessary. We have been tent campers for over 40 years and the videos of this product's description shows people walking through fields to a campsite carrying the coffee maker by the unnecessary handle without showing the dragging cord. Also, you need to have a generator or other source of power to use at a campground. Another problem that made me consider deducting a star is the fact that a full picture or reference to the 26” permanently attached power cord is virtually eliminated in every photo in on-line description (tiny glimpse of part of power cord in one video and one photo but no full description or photo of power cord).

Does feel a little on the low end of qualities, but for just one person trying to make coffee at home I'm sure it'll last a decent amount of time. Plus it's pink!

I ordered this because I wanted to have a single serve coffee maker that could use regular coffee grounds as well as k cups. I used to have a Keurig and although it was convenient it was not very practical and definitely took more than one pod for my standard cup size at the strength I like while not always being able to brew with off brand pods. Brewer produced a great tasting cup with my grounds in a much faster time than the Keurig ever did and at a better temp. I like the reusable filter basket as it's easier to fill and clean than others I've used and the included k cup adapter works perfectly so I can enjoy the specific "k cups" I actually did enjoy from time to time all with the added bonus of being very light and portable so I could easily take it camping as long as I have a power source that would supply the needed 500watts. This brewer was easy to use, I simply filled my cup to the desired level with water and pour it into the reservoir, filled the filter basket with my desired amount of my desired grind level of grounds then placed my cup in the base and turned it on. In less than 2 minutes I had a great tasting piping hot cup of coffee that was at the exact level as the water was when I filled the reservoir leaving me the right amount of space for my creamer and sweetener. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker over others that are similar that I have used on many occasions, including Keurig models. This is extremely affordable and works for everything one would need it to do.

It is a tiny coffee maker just like those in hotel rooms but this one takes k-cups so it's better since you can buy k-cup coffee pods like everywhere now. No filter cleaning required. It may be portable as portrayed, i like that it has a handle, but to bring it on camping or outdoor, you should also have a portable AC battery pack that's at least output 800W of power, that's going to be a huge battery. So for single cup coffees, this is great, less maintenance as well and cute too!
