I needed a new single serve coffee maker after my name brand Keurig died after only 15 months. How disappointing! I read several reviews and decided on Tastyle for its features: 5 cup sizes, bold, and iced options and a recipe book. Included is a reusable ground coffee filter if you prefer ground coffee over capsule coffee. Plus I loved the purple color which was something different for me. Coffee dispenses after about a 9-second preheat. Brewing is complete when the brew indicator light is no longer illuminated. And the machine shuts off automatically. A second drip tray is included to accommodate shorter cups to prevent splashing. After every 200 cups of coffee, the brew will indicate that it requires descaling when the decal light illuminates. But it does not affect the use of normal functions. I am very happy with the quality of the coffee and the quick brewing time. If you select the bold feature, it does take a little bit longer to brew the coffee because it brews in starts and stops. I am trusting that the Tastyle coffee maker will last longer than the 15 month Keurig brand single serve coffee maker.

Great product, I usually brew one cup of coffee in a 22oz mug and thus like single cup makers. This one, being able to use K cups or bulk coffee is what I wanted. It would be nice if it could brew up to 20 oz at a time, but it is not that bothersome to brew 16 oz and then add in another 4 oz. I have seen reviews that mentioned it blew out steam and coffee grounds, but I suspect they did not get the K cup seated all the way down in its holder and thus did not puncture the bottom of the cup to let the coffee out. All in all, I am happy with it at a fraction of the price of a Keurig.

Lasted not even 4 months before the latch quit working. Not it pops open and sprays hot water and steam everywhere along with coffee grounds. Quality is very poor and will not order again. As Charles Barkley once said, Turrible, Just Turrible.

I've been using a Keurig at home for years and like it but wanted a coffee maker for camping. Several key features made this unit my pick. 1. I can simply pour a standard 16.9 oz water bottle in which eliminates measuring. 2. It will brew 16 oz in one cycle. 3. It will handle a 7" tall insulated cup or shorter ones with included adapters 4. Can use a K cup or the included reusable filter. 5. Narrow unit width. The reusable filter holds four times the amount of coffee as the reusable filter I use on my Keurig. I used the same amount of coffee in the Tastyle and to me it tasted the same. Might be handy if you want to brew something stronger or use tea bags. The ability to select between 6,8,10,12 or 16 oz gives you the option to use a smaller cup without guessing how much water to put in. I used to boiled water and use instant coffee so it's a great addition. Ran fine using my 2000 watt inverter and deep cycle battery.

If you are looking for a coffee maker that makes steaming hot coffee this model might be for you. I've never seen so much steam come out of a cup of coffee from any of the coffee makers I've ever owned. It was a bit much for me but I know some people like a piping hot cup of coffee. Because this coffee maker heats the water as it brews it intermittently spits out coffee and when it does that it sprays droplets of coffee all over the area where it sits. I had it sitting in between my water picture and my SodaStream and constantly had to clean both of those along with the coffee maker itself and the countertop. It doesn't matter what size mug you use, even with the extender to get the coffee mug closer to where the coffee comes out, it's going to make a mess. I could forgive all of those things but I only had this for a few days and it began popping open mid-brew. You really had to press it down hard and kind of pull the top to make it click into place. It would sound like it was closed because it would make an initial click but you needed that second deep click to make sure it was closed. And even then, even if I pulled on the top to make sure it was secure, it would open mid brew and shoot out hot air before it stopped itself from brewing. Maybe I just got a lemon but in the end I returned this for a more securely closing coffee maker. As far as the price, this is very well priced and I thought the Brew time was quick enough. The size of the machine is good. It is extremely light and would be easy to move around your kitchen.

I love this machine. Compared it to a Keurig mini, I preferred this one (more options, better price, and the coffee is hotter). It works great, and makes good coffee. But it easily dumps water all over your counter. I understand there’s a max fill line in the water reservoir, but having a hole there and letting water dump out the back of the machine is ridiculous. I went with a different model from this company instead.
