Sad Update 4-8-2024 (read the ending)
Color: Black
I tried to upload a short video but for some reason I couldn't. Sorry so much for the poor pictures due to cheap camera 😔 Anyway as for the SINGING WOOD BT27 speakers. I really thought a long time before buying these as I never cared for powered speakers in the past. I'M SO GLAD I DECIDED TO BUY 🤗 I'm using my ATLP 3 turntable. So simple, the R speaker on the back has "TWO" RCA type input sets. All I needed was one for my turntable. I did switch my turntable to LINE instead of phono. Turned on the power switch on rear of the left speaker. Plugged my turntable RCA cable directly into to the #1 phono inputs. And all set with such a beautiful and full sound. Also as seen in my photos, the speakers are pretty close to the turntable and NO hum, audio feedback or such at all. NOTE. when you first try the remote be sure to push the proper LINE 1 or LINE 2 button as well as the red power button on remote. On the side of left speaker in has a BASS, TREBLE and MASTER VOLUME control as well as a green power light indicator for the secondary remote control power. And Incase you are not doing a turntable like mine, the speakers come with a couple different cables that "should" accommodate you. To be honest I have not tried the Bluetooth feature so can't comment on that. I love because it has Bass and Treble controls that can "really" customize the sound to your liking. Anyway as far as I have used them, I am so very happy. Also the company really packaged everything in the box with "actual" care. Sometimes you don't find that anymore. If I could I would give this above 5 star ✨ Hopefully this might help somebody out there 🤗 SAD UPDATE 😞 Ok I'm not sure if it's something that can be fixed by the consumer or not but as of yesterday the remote stopped working totally. I tried changing batteries but still did not work. I might be wrong but I have a suspicion the way it was designed with the battery compartment perhaps it's not always making contact as the battery should. As I said it might be an easy fix for somebody that knows what they're doing. ... show more

Work well for me
These are pretty nice for the price.Using them as recording monitors and seem to be pretty accurate in sound reproduction. If you pay more maybe better sound quality, but for the price these work well for me.Can find no fault with these,5 stars.

So far the negative reviews don't seem to be the case with me...
I had the speakers delivered yesterday, as promised by Amazon. They almost always deliver on time or a day earlier. The speakers look nice. Good workmanship, especially for the money. I unpacked, hooked up, and no sound! The instructions never explained that you have to push the volume button inward in order for them to pair with my laptop. I figured it out watching a video on YouTube about similar speakers. So, once I did push the volume button in, they paired and I had sound. Now, about the sound... Anyone who knows anything about audio equipment knows there is a break-in period. The break-in period for speakers is about 30 hours. The initial sound? The mid and upper rangers aren't very warm, but not "tinny." The bass is a little boomy; sloppy. It adds bass where bass really doesn't belong, but that has been the style and trend for about 20 years in the lower end audio. So, I have turned it down a bit. The volume is fine. They are loud enough for me. I am sure that, after the break-in period, if I cranked them up near max volume, I will hear distortion. But, what can one expect from speakers less than $100.00? For the price, they are pretty damn good. The test to see if the speakers are good is have them on low to mid volume, then play something like, "Bohemian Rhapsody." If they don't get "confused" and all the ranges are even, then they are good speakers. Actually, I did play, Bohemian Rhapsody, and it sounded not bad. No, they didn't sound like my old Legacy Focus speakers, but then again, I paid $5,000 for those speakers! lol! I do pay attention to the most recent bad reviews first, then work my way up. All in all, they are pretty good speakers - for now! Let's see what happens within the first 25 days. I would have preferred to have bookshelf speakers with 3 drivers instead of a tweeter and then a 4 inch woofer with a port for the bass. There is noway that a bass speaker (driver) can cover the mid-ranges well: and that is about 75% of the music. But, again, for a -$100 powered speaker with the amp inside the unit, what can one expect? Note: There are 3 speaker, powered bookshelf speakers on Amazon in the ranges of $130 to $190, and I would have probably bought those. But, people absolutely trash with their reviews, and I really wonder if they are bonafide reviews, as well as the long 5 Star ones. Give honest reviews, you get what you pay for so do the products justice concerning price etc. ... show more

More than expected.

Seeing the price point gave me pause. But I have been more than pleased with taking this chance. Easy hookups for both pairing the speakers and for connecting my turntable via the red/white stereo RCA cable. Upon completion, I eased the volume. And fine tuned with the treble and bass controls got a nice blend with perfect clarity. Even dropping the volume, the sound remained crisp. Not muddy at all. Has more than enough power to fill my living room. The included remote gives complete control and is easy to use. The bluetooth connectivity works flawlessly. Allows me to use either my iPhone or iPad for music. Even my tv recognizes the speakers. All in all I could not be happier with this purchase. I absolutely recommend. ... show more

Surprisingly impressed!
So I got these speakers for the record player I recently purchased that wouldn't connect via Bluetooth... not because I wanted to. I was surprisingly impressed. It comes with a remote and you can adjust treble and base which is needed for some of the newer record players you'll find today. The speakers are good quality considering the cost. The finish is good and they don't feel cheap. Things I like: Attractive design. Adjustable treble and base. Remote control with multiple functions. Good sound quality. Things I don't like: None. Overall, I'm very impressed with these speakers. Although I didn't want to buy them, I'm glad I did. If you purchased one of the record players and want a great sounding set of speakers that will perform better than a Bluetooth system. This might be worth a look. ... show more

Best sounding Bluetooth speaker!
These speakers are blowing my mind. $79. And it sounds GORGEOUS! Bass and treble controls with actual KNOBS on the sides make it easy to tweak if need be. I am loving these speakers. I set it up in 5 mins and hooked up to Bluetooth.

Lousy sound
Having grown up in an analog music world, I guess I have a much more critical ear. There are so many of these all plastic, non adjustable music players out there and reviews say “sounds great”. I bought these speakers because they had a wooden cabinet, had a separate woofer and tweeter, tone adjustments AND I could connect my turntable to them. Bottom line, it sounds like the music is coming from the bottom of a metal trash can, and connecting my turntable was a complete fail. ... show more

Great sound, quality, and price in the exact size I needed.
I was looking for the best sounding, powered, small bookshelf speakers I could find that supported both Bluetooth and RCA connections that would fit in my small entertainment center. These speakers fit all of my requirements perfectly (and I have about 1/8" room to spare for the space requirements). :) In short, these speakers sound amazing for their small size and can fill an average-sized room with rich sound from lows, mids, and highs. To me, the remote is a HUGE benefit and allows you to turn the speakers on/off, control the volume (and mute), as well as selecting the 3 inputs. The remote also has program skip forward/backwards but I haven't tested those features. I'm delighted with my purchase and while these are my first Singing Wood speakers, I'm impressed. Great job! ... show more
