    • Not the Best but Not the Worst Either
This a cute and handy product. The tools are great for undoing the screws in my machine. I got my kit yesterday (Apr 30, 2020) and was super excited but found some flaws right away (you get what you pay for). The thread snips are do not cut thread easily and on the first snip, I had to go over the thread multiple times with the snips to get them to cut and feared that it would make my thread snag. The little magnifying thing (I say thing because it isn’t glass) came scratched up. The needle threader has some weird glue gunk on it and the wire broke immediately when I just barely touched it. I haven’t used the thread yet but doesn’t look too bad. Now for some good. I love the little magnetic cut to hold the pins. I thought that was cute and clever, doesn’t magnetically hold all the pins but it’s cute and convenient. The tools are great (so far). The tailors measuring tape is always nice, and the little mesh bag it came with was very convenient to hold everything together. The lint brush is nice too, haven’t used it yet but the bristles are long and look like they’d reach the nooks and crannies when cleaning my sewing machine. Here’s the kicker! It says it comes with 43 items, but it only comes with 42 (that’s including each individual pin, mind you). They count the plastic packaging it all comes in on as part of the 43! Wtf!? In conclusion? The kit is cute but definitely not worth the $18 bucks I paid for it. It’s not really worth over $5 dollars to be honest. I’m keeping it because I can still use the tools and pins. But really.... I’d try to look else where before I purchase this. ... show more

I had just purchased a sewing machine for the first time and I wanted some thread and other things. This kit was perfect. The thread is good quality and the magnetic pin dish is great.

This was a basic kit just as described. No surprises. The clippers or scissor type tool was a little dull; however, I sharpened it a bit and works fine now.
