I've bought this 3 times over the past 3 years. My daughter loves this back pack. It does last the entire school year, but with daily use, you'll probably only get one school year out of it. Which for the price, I'm happy with. It it very durable, as my daughter can be tough on her bags/items. We've never had a strap break or any issues. It has multiple compartments, which really helps in being able to place documents, snacks, etc. so they are easily accessible. The material is sturdy and the zippers work smoothly. The straps are comfortable and can be adjusted easily. I don't know why the description says "women's" - this is a totally unisex pack. Found the bag to be quite useful. It’s high-quality canvas. Several compartments. We used it to create an emergency room bag sitting at the front door to be taken at a moments notice. We could get everything in the bag that we needed. I don’t think technically it’s supposed to be waterproof but it certainly water resistant.
