Now that Joanne has gone out of business it's impossible to find just the basics like thread and buttons. So this kit is great it has a lot of good things provided but it's also got a good organization for this stuff I already have. So I have a good place to store my buttons or beads. Overall, this sewing kit works really well for what I need and comes with a lot of useful supplies for basic sewing, quick fixes, and small projects. One of my favorite parts of the kit is definitely the scissors — they are very sharp and actually work much better than I expected.
