I use these on felt fabric and they’re super sharp even after a couple weeks of intensive use. I do wish I had gotten a shorter pair (if there is one) just because of smaller projects, but they are absolutely amazing so I’ve been making it work. Absolutely do NOT use on other materials like paper if you want them to stay sharp. Cutting paper and cardboard and etc are great ways to turn them dull.     • Keeps fabric edges from fraying
I bought fabric to use as a tablecloth for a special celebration. I did not want to go through the hassle of working on the edges, so I bought the Singer pinking shears. I selected Singer because of the brand recognition. The sheers are easy to use and produce a zig zag pattern on the edge of the fabric that prevents major fraying.     • Okay, but not too sharp.
All the shears at Joann's were $40. So this is great for the value. But one complaint I have is the sharpness. It has a hard time cutting through thicker fabrics or multiple layers of fabrics.
