Features

  • Manual: Basic Steps for Brushing your hair: Dry or Damp Hair: - For dry hair, brush gently to avoid frizz or breakage. - For damp hair, use a wooden pin brush which is designed for wet hair to minimize damage. Damp hair. Start from the bottom - Begin brushing at the ends, gradually working your way up to the roots. This prevents pulling and minimizes tangles.
  • Brush in Sections: - If your hair is thick or tangled, its easier to separate it into sections and work through each part methodically. - For a perfect styling it is necassary to style the hair in sections. The result will convince you.
  • Dry hair: - Stroke from the roots to the bottom of the hair. The natural hair sebum which is rich with natural oil can be spread to the bottom of the hair which often is dryer than the parts near the roots.
  • Brush Maintenance: Clean Your Brushes Regularly: - Hairbrushes can accumulate hair, oils, and product buildup. Clean them every 1-2 weeks (or more often if needed) by removing hair strands and washing them with warm, soapy water. Check for Damage: - Make sure the bristles are not bent or broken. Replace brushes that have become worn out to ensure proper care for your hair.
  • Warnings Avoid Brushing Too Aggressively: - Gentle brushing is key, especially for curly or fine hair, to avoid causing split ends or excessive breakage. Be Careful with Heat: - If using heat tools with brushes, make sure to use brushes designed for hot tools (e.g., ceramic or heat-resistant brushes). Dont Overdo It: - Brushing too much can cause damage and breakage. Brush just enough to smooth out tangles.

  • Great brush.
The brush is exactly what I was looking for. It is stiff and gives my scalp an exfoliating treatment every time I use it. Also, it has a long handle which is important to me because I have mobility issues with my arms. This is something I would definitely buy again, but given the robust way it's built, I probably won't have to. ... show more

  • Fine brush; soft bristles
This is a very fine, well-made brush of natural wood and bristles. The only downside for me is that the bristles are not very stiff.

  • This is THE ponytail brush - a must have
Very impressed with this brush for two reasons: 1 - it makes perfect pony tails. It brushes the hair so smooth and distributes natural oils in a way that I don't even need to use hair gel anymore to get that slicked back/sleek pony or bun look. 2- The bristles have made my hair SO soft. I have a lot of thin/fine hair that normally starts to feel straw-like at the ends. This makes it feel like my hair has been conditioned recently all day long. I can't believe I lived this long without it. ... show more

  • Best for thinner hair
The brush is nicely made. My hair is not thick or thin, and the brush does not go through my hair well. The picture shows a lady with long hair. I figured the brush would work for my hair. Maybe I should have done the paddle brush

  • Absolutely love it, so glad I went back to boar bristle
This brush is AMAZING. I moved away from boar bristle for the better part of 10 years because the texture and thickness of my hair changed in my late teens through mid-20s, but now this is just the ticket. My hair is fine and very smooth, but I have a lot of it. I was hoping that this brush would be able to do the job without me needing to separate out sections to make sure I got all of it, and boy did this brush deliver. It takes very few passes for it to detangle and smooth my hair with zero pain or struggle. That being said, I spent nearly 20 years having my hair tied back tightly into a bun, so there's not a whole lot of feeling in my scalp these days, so take that "no pain" with a grain of salt - I definitely did not need to yank or tug or pull to get the brush through, though. The price was very nice as well. I had a Mason Pearson brush gifted to me as a child, and used it for years up until I needed a different style of bristle, and was completely unwilling to spend the money on that brush given the current economic client and my current salary (the struggle is real, am I right?). I would say that this is a great replacement for that level of functionality and construction for anyone who would like to spend a little less on their hairbrush but still have something that works really well. Just be sure to read the product description to make sure that you have one of the hair types the manufacturer recommends for this brush! ... show more

  • Natural bristles give hair superior care
Why only 3 stars? Because for the high price the wood handle should be of far greater weight & quality. That said it is a great natural boar bristle brush. Wonderful for scalp care & very gentle on hair. Yes it is “soft” compared to plastic but that’s what makes it ideal for true hair care. Using natural boar bristles gives hair a great shine & wonderful care. ... show more
