Features

  • Manual: Basic Steps for Brushing your hair: Dry or Damp Hair: - For dry hair, brush gently to avoid frizz or breakage. - For damp hair, use a wooden pin brush which is designed for wet hair to minimize damage. Damp hair. Start from the bottom - Begin brushing at the ends, gradually working your way up to the roots. This prevents pulling and minimizes tangles.
  • Brush in Sections: - If your hair is thick or tangled, its easier to separate it into sections and work through each part methodically. - For a perfect styling it is necassary to style the hair in sections. The result will convince you.
  • Dry hair: - Stroke from the roots to the bottom of the hair. The natural hair sebum which is rich with natural oil can be spread to the bottom of the hair which often is dryer than the parts near the roots.
  • Brush Maintenance: Clean Your Brushes Regularly: - Hairbrushes can accumulate hair, oils, and product buildup. Clean them every 1-2 weeks (or more often if needed) by removing hair strands and washing them with warm, soapy water. Check for Damage: - Make sure the bristles are not bent or broken. Replace brushes that have become worn out to ensure proper care for your hair.
  • Warnings Avoid Brushing Too Aggressively: - Gentle brushing is key, especially for curly or fine hair, to avoid causing split ends or excessive breakage. Be Careful with Heat: - If using heat tools with brushes, make sure to use brushes designed for hot tools (e.g., ceramic or heat-resistant brushes). Dont Overdo It: - Brushing too much can cause damage and breakage. Brush just enough to smooth out tangles.

  • Smooth, Natural, and Well-Made Hair Brush
I’ve been using the Classic German First Cut boar bristle brush for a few weeks, and it’s quickly become a staple in my hair care routine. Why I like it: * Natural shine: The boar bristles distribute oils evenly, leaving hair looking smoother and shinier without extra products. * Gentle on the scalp: Brushing feels comfortable and never pulls or snags, even on fine hair. * Improves texture over time: Hair feels softer, less frizzy, and more manageable with regular use. * Sturdy build:The wooden handle is solid and feels high-quality, reflecting classic craftsmanship. A few things to consider: * Best for normal to fine or medium hair; very thick or curly hair may need a detangler first. * Use on dry or lightly damp hair; wet hair may be more prone to breakage. Bottom line: This brush is well-made, effective, and easy to use. It enhances shine, smooths hair naturally, and feels comfortable in hand. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a classic, natural hairbrush. ... show more

  • Absolutely love it, so glad I went back to boar bristle
This brush is AMAZING. I moved away from boar bristle for the better part of 10 years because the texture and thickness of my hair changed in my late teens through mid-20s, but now this is just the ticket. My hair is fine and very smooth, but I have a lot of it. I was hoping that this brush would be able to do the job without me needing to separate out sections to make sure I got all of it, and boy did this brush deliver. It takes very few passes for it to detangle and smooth my hair with zero pain or struggle. That being said, I spent nearly 20 years having my hair tied back tightly into a bun, so there's not a whole lot of feeling in my scalp these days, so take that "no pain" with a grain of salt - I definitely did not need to yank or tug or pull to get the brush through, though. The price was very nice as well. I had a Mason Pearson brush gifted to me as a child, and used it for years up until I needed a different style of bristle, and was completely unwilling to spend the money on that brush given the current economic client and my current salary (the struggle is real, am I right?). I would say that this is a great replacement for that level of functionality and construction for anyone who would like to spend a little less on their hairbrush but still have something that works really well. Just be sure to read the product description to make sure that you have one of the hair types the manufacturer recommends for this brush! ... show more

  • So Disappointed
Buyer beware! Don’t know how they can get away w/this but… just know it’s not what’s advertised. I’ve been wanting a 100% pure boar bristle brush for awhile & was so excited to see this one hand-made from a century’s old company in Germany. As it was being advertised as “100% boar bristle” w/many reviewers loving it & saying it was exactly as advertised, I reasoned that coming from such an old established company I couldn’t lose. Unfortunately, those few reviewers who warned that it was not 100% pure were correct. It’s an approx. 50% nylon bristles. I’m doing research re: boar bristle brushed, an internet post warned that if the packaging doesn’t say it’s 100%, then it’s not. So while the write-up for this brush, as well as for their “100% boar bristle” body brush says that’s what they are made of, alas, not so the boxes they come in. Nowhere on the packaging does it mention anything about the brushes being made of 100% boar bristles. So while I like the feel of the brush in my hand, the wooden handle & the way it goes thru my thick, but fine curly/wavy hair, I am truly disappointed. If I didn’t have a couple of friends who would love this & are not concerned about the bristle content, I would definitely be returning it. ... show more

  • A BRUSH WHERE GREASING THE SCALP IS ABSOLETE AND THE HEALTH OF THE SCALP TELLS THE STORY!
I have been searching for a REAL boar-bristle hairbrush. Many on the market are mixed with other materials and sold as authentic. The whole brush is the real deal, yes, the wooden handle is real, too. Natural organic hairstyles for African American men and women, such as protective styles that require daily care or silk press styles that last longer. Natural oils from the scalp are distributed throughout the hair, making it shine, and the natural brush handle does not slip like the plastic or synthetic brushes on the market. I recommend it for the whole family; the investment is worth it. ... show more
