Overall looks nice and is true to dimensions, which was perfect for my space. But we experienced many issues with this: 1) the door hinge mini holes are not pre-drilled in the right place - The solution: drill your own mini holes for the screws / hinge to be in the right place / for the doors to be well positioned and close properly 2) the drawers do not open/close well - The solution: remove the middle screw from the drawer glides, it is the one that gets in the way and damages the little rubber wheels 3) on a flat surface, this is leaning forward - The solution: insert little pieces of wood / cardboard under the front feets, like on pic#1 4) the side panel was scratched (pic#2) - The solution: use a Furniture Repair Marker - I used a Mahogany color that ended up being a bit too red-ish but close enough. Net-net, all the problems are kind of fix-able but this ended-up being a lot of work and was not the quality I was expecting for the price. On the bright side, this was really nicely packed and all pieces looked good except for the one side panel. ... show more

Do not buy this. It looks nice but it’s a piece of crap (and that’s putting it nicely). I regret not paying attention to the reviews that mentioned the poor construction & quality of this piece. Less than 2 weeks we’ve had it and the door panel began cracking (see photos). Before that, the slightest bump would scratch (down to bare wood) and dent the surface. I bumped the corner with my hip and a chunk of finish flaked off. I had to fix numerous *deep* scratches on the surface from where we moved *a cereal box* across the top. When the door panels cracked I said enough. We are returning this for a refund. Also need to second the reviewer who said that the pre-drilled jokes for the doors are not in the right place. Door hangs crooked and only redrilling the holes would make it right. ... show more

What a beautiful piece of (heavy) furniture. Best quality I have seen in decades. All pieces labeled and packed with care. The finish is flawless inside and out - nothing but wood! Have not opened the hardware yet. Will give an update after assembled. As someone who has done a decent amount of woodworking I am Very Impressed! You get what you pay for and at this stage it seems well worth the money. Update: About a 4 hour assembly . Dowels & predrilled holes lined up perfectly. Hope to see similar quality furniture from this company. Far surpasses what's available in local furniture stores . ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased it 14 months ago. It was a beautiful piece or awhile. While dusting at 8 months I noticed the side panels on the bottom were flaking away and one of the front door panels has started to crack. I've never had a piece of furniture do this. I contacted the company and they are sent me a new door and side panels. I basically rebuilt the piece. Now, at 14 months, I notice the other door has a crack and the new door is flaking at the seams. It is out of warranty now. I regret this purchase. ... show more

It took about 2 hours to put together. Would have gone faster if I wouldn’t have put the drawers together wrong and had to take them back apart. Every single piece needs put together!!! It’s solid wood just very soft wood. I dropped one of the big screws ontop the front door and it put a big dent in the door and took the stain off. You have to make sure that every piece goes in correctly and all pieces are flush because then your doors won’t close. It’s a lot darker in person. ... show more

I would return it, but how would I do that? Disassemble and box it up? It looked nice for a brief period. It does not get bumped, the drawers are rarely opened, yet it is showing several visible separations and cracks, presumably just an effect of heating and cooling (not at all extreme) in our home. It did look nice initially, at that point my disappointment was the very, very thin wood used for the back and the drawer bottoms. Seriously only a bit more support than strong cardboard. Ugh, bummer to see this happen is there any way the vendor can just send new cabinet doors? That is what looks bad. ... show more

IMO, the color of this server didn't look anything like it was pictured, but I still love it. I don't usually assemble things, but when it arrived 2 days sooner than expected, I just couldn't help myself. It took me 3 1/2 hours, but if I'd had someone helping me I'm sure we would have gotten it put together much quicker. I took my time, following every instruction to a tee. It arrived well packaged with all the hardware needed (plus some) to assemble it. I only had to provide a flat head, a Phillips and a rubber mallet. Using a battery operated drill probably would have made assembly go quicker, but I know me - I'd have ruined it or messed up using a drill. I absolutely love the finished product and plan to use it for my coffee bar! UPDATE: Eight months later, I still ❤❤❤ it!!! I get so many compliments 😍 ... show more

We were concerned that this would look cheap, but it is very sturdy and solid....looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. Very well made, and the instructions were more clear and complete than we've seen with other home assembly units. Spare parts included, though we didn't need any. Assembly was a solid two hours of work, but everything went together very well. Tip: drill at least one of the holes for each hinge to provide a more stable start to attach the doors. We will definitely look for Simplihome when we need our next accent piece! ... show more
