Good old-fashioned kind of pillow case. I imagine this is what high end pillow cases were like before polyester. The material is thick and not slippery like polyester blends. it's not smooth but not rough or coarse. It measured 21" x 32" before washing and drying, compared to most that are 20x30. I washed it and dried it on medium heat and put it on the pillow. It went on easily and fit with just a little room all around. I did not have to reach inside the pillow case and push the corners of the pillow down into the case, yea! Thread count was NOT specified on the description or on the box but I was guessing 200-300 count. On the back of the box down low I did see "OEKO TEX Standard 100" so maybe it's 100 thread count, it does have a nice grippy feel. Box also indicated it was designed in USA and made in India. I was afraid I would hear the friction if my head or ear moved across it but no. I slept well. It was comfortable. 5 stars for this product titled 100% Egyptian Cotton Pillow Cases Standard/Queen Size Set of 2 - Luxury High Thread Count Sateen Weave. On the box it said 'Pillowcase Pair. 100% Extra Long Staple. Egyptian Cotton. Sateen Weave'. Size: Queen. Color: Bright White. Conclusion: I like these and if I can find them in the Thread Spread store and if they are priced reasonably I'll want to get sheet sets in both full and queen. I can't equate these with the products I see in their Amazon store.

I’m a fanatic about 100% cotton bed linens. I did not like blends nor microfiber in bed. Cotton breathes. Cotton stays cool. Cotton is soft on the skin. This cotton is an extra good cotton because it’s OEKO TEX certified, meaning organic cotton is used for these pillow cases and they are manufactured using green processes. I checked their number and they are indeed certified. These pillow cases are wonderful. They are 100% cotton. The sewing is excellent. I'm impressed by the seams. They are a good 3/4", with a straight stitch at the seam, sealed or sureged the width of the seam, and surged at the edges of the fabric. These seams will stay shut! The fabric is heavy and luxurious feeling. The size is generous so it was easy to put these on king size pillows. The topstitched hem on the outside of the pillow cases is a nice decorative touch. The envelope type closure keeps the pillow from sliding out of the case. I have washed the pillow cases and there has been no shrinkage, even using hot water and a high temp. dryer setting. Yes, they did come out wrinkled. But that’s expected with 100% cotton and is mentioned in the copy. These are becoming softer with each wash, and less wrinkled. A quick ironing or steaming will take all the wrinkles out and then these will look like hotel linens, which go through a mangle to get the wrinkles out. With the high quality of these pillow cases, I know they will last for several years even with weekly washings. I will be ordering another pair. The price is excellent for the quality.

This pillowcase is undeniably soft that provides a comforting feel. However, its excessive length (at least 4 inches more than usual) is a problem unless you tuck it really well so that it does not appear to be so slack. Despite that, its comfort level does make it worth the minor inconvenience of tucking in the excess fabric.

These are really wonderful pillows cases. This cotton sateen is very soft and also cool fabric for summer nights. I really dislike synthetics for bed linens. They don't let your skin breathe the same way, they are just too warm for me. These cases are lovely and don't make it seem any warmer when you lay your noggin down on the pillow. The smoothness also allows for that flip of the pillow for the cooler side! These are nice for your face if you side sleep or bury your face in the pillow. They will wash nicely, and are not as likely to hold oils from your skin through proper washing. Made in India as so much of the good cotton products are. These are a great buy! I have the prewashed king size cases measurements in the photos. Last pic is after washing. They will have a soft natural rumple as opposed to a wrinkle. Fold them immediately after the dryer so they will gently press while being stacked for less crinkles. I really like the look of a softed cotton so this is fine for me.

Years ago I use to order bed linens for a retail store so I'm rather obsessed with bedding. I also know quality when I see it. These are very very nice. They have a 1500 thread count which is hard to find. They are soft and are easy to put your pillow into. They just drop them in, no shoving them. They do wrinkle a bit after washing them but I just ran an iron over them quickly and they were perfect. These would make a great gift. Many people do not replace pillowcases or sheets very often and when they do they buy the poor quality ones from the discount retail stores. I think they would appreciate quality pillowcases like these.

I'm just tickled pink to have such a high 1500 thread count, luxury Egyptian cotton set of pillowcases for my very own bedroom (that's right- I'm not sharing these with any guests or other household members). I take my bedtime seriously, and these do not disappoint! I ALWAYS want 100% cotton like this and the sateen weave finish does indeed add a touch of luxury. What I like most of all in terms of form is that these Queen pillow cases can properly contain my very oversized bamboo pillow, which are usually hard to fit...and what I like most of all in terms of function is that a pair of these, when placed together at the headboard create almost a bolster effect...and when taken to bed for sleep, this pair combine to make the perfect body pillow of cool smooth sateen weave Egyptian Cotton to ensure a good night's sleep.

I love this set of pillow cases I'm thinking I will need to buy more for other pillows. You know when you go to a good hotel and the pillow cases feel crisp and thick? This is that pillow! It's like that thicker luxurious cotton. Not crazy soft like flannel but I just love that thicker, stiffer (but not scratchy) feel. Washed well, fits the queen size pillows great!
