Takes a considerable amount of skill to assemble. Decent quality and good instructions. Well packed. The build and all components are well made and match up perfectly. There is a mix of solid wood and composite. A few notes and one star off for the following. The first is the considerable amount of VOC's this unit emits after assembly. We had to remove it from the house and place it into the garage the smell was so bad, headaches, asthma-like symptoms, eye burning, Etc. I would strongly consider leaving the parts in a well-ventilated space prior to assembling to avoid any health issues. Also I need to note that as others have said and their reviews, the two knobs are not mounted evenly, with one being slightly lower than the other even though each door was perfectly aligned. This was easily fixed and not a big deal. This is not the first simply home product we have an interestingly the entertainment center we bought looks very similar but did not give off anywhere near the amount of toxic fumes like this cabinet does. Another very minor complaint is that we went to Great pains to select the natural aged color we got with the first unit in order to match. Even though the color says it's the same it is not, close but not quite. If I would have known this I would have just went with the cabinet that we want it that did not list the color available in that model. Going by that it's clear that the color guide is very general and apparently not meant to perfectly match a suite of furniture pieces. Overall the cabinet size, storage and build make this a decent buy noting the above.

The media could not be loaded. This cabinet is solid wood, beautiful style, great for a smaller space yet large enough to store what I needed to. PROS: This was shipped with care, no damage whatsoever. Plenty of thick, solid styrofoam and sturdy cardboard. Putting it together was fairly easy, took about an hour, simple instructions. We used a thick blanket underneath as we assembled to avoid scuffing the wood and finish. The size is wonderful, perfect for what I needed. I have an 8 place-setting china set and it works perfectly for that. Solid wood, with exception to backing, which is a pretty sturdy veneer. It's a thin layer of material and it is better than particle board. There were no nails, only screws and solid hardware, which is a bonus. And they sent extra hardware just in case. CONS: *1st problem—after assembly, it was time to put in the shelves. The top left shelf had to be (gently) pounded down with a rubber mallet as the pre-drilled holes for the center vertical wall were a little off. But the shelf lays level so it worked out fine. *2nd problem—the doors do not align. You must shut them at the same time in order for them to shut together. (See video) This might bother some, but I am fine with it as I won't be getting into this cabinet on a regular basis. As long as the doors shut, I'm fine with it. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and love the way it looks in my kitchen with my china displayed inside. I have read other reviews about the doors not being aligned, but not all the reviews mentioned it. I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones that the doors would not be a problem for, but oh well.

The quality of the cabinet does not justify the price tag. When we were unpacking, I noticed a small gouge in the left door at the top. The holes to hang the doors were already drilled and they were slightly misaligned so the doors are not even. It is very noticable. The left door sticks when you open and close lt. There are stickers all over the unit, including a large one on the upper right side. The glue used to attach the stickers is incredibly strong and they're a nightmare to pry off. When you do get them off the sticky residue left behind is very difficult to remove. I will say that it looks great, from a distance. Before I received it I had planned to buy a second unit for another room. After we got this thing together I scrapped. that idea. Would have returned it but repacking was more than my husband and I wanted to tackle.

This is the best packaged item I have ever received. Every item was individually wrapped and packed tight. Not a scratch. The screws and such were in a baggie and each item was separately in their own bag and numbered. There was even a bag of extras, all individually bagged and numbered too. Impressive. Assembly was ok. We had issues with the cam locks. 3 of them actually broke very easily. They need to be heavier. Thank goodness for the extras! Overall it took 75 mins to assemble. Would have been quicker but those darn cam locks! It is not as light grey as I thought but that's ok. It smells. It smells like varnish and paint. Very strong. I imagine that will go away as it airs out. I have not put the shelves in yet as you can see them sitting on top. I love that they are adjustable and am waiting by to see what I put where. The directions are ok. Mostly pictures but they instruct you what number goes where. All boards are marked with a letter and a sticker showing what faces front. The screws holding the door hinges on are very tiny and I hope they hold up. Having a second person to help with the doors would make it easier. I would have given it a 5 star but the cheap cam locks and smell stopped me. It is heavy and sturdy. Would def recommend

We bought this cabinet for my husband’s whiskey collection. It was fairly easy to assemble and the color and size match our dining room furniture. The only problem is the smell. It’s been almost four months and it still smells bad. It’s more noticeable on humid days. We are going to have to move it out of the dining room if the smell doesn’t go away soon because I can’t imagine having to sit next to that for an entire meal with company.
