    • Simple lamp for any room. Weird switch placement.

This is a very simple lamp which is what I wanted. It is easy to assemble and looks fine on our small end table. It only can take a 60 watt bulb. We originally wanted a lamp that could take a 3 way bulb with higher wattage but we instead put a smart bulb in and turn it on, dim it, or turn it off using our Echo Show. Because we do use a smart bulb, the annoying placement of the on/off switch isn't annoying us. But it definitely would. It is located down a ways on the cord, not in the usual place where lights turn on and off. I think turning the lamp and off that way would be a hassle especially if it is located somewhere that the online switch is not easily accessible. The base is sturdy enough and I like that this lamp is tall. The lampshade is very simple but suffices. The price was low and the lamp works as advertised. The only real con is the switch placement which I averted by using a smart bulb and having my personal assistant, Alexa, do the honors. ... show more

Nice looking lamp for $25. My only problem with it is the location of the only on/off switch. It is about 10 inches down the cord from the lamp. there is no way to turn on the lamp without the cord switch. In my case, it worked ok when the electrical plug was on the side closest to the bed. It did not work well when the electrical plug was on the other side of the nightstand which required that the cord run away from the bed. This meant having to reach all the way across the nightstand to turn it off and on. Otherwise, for the money, nice looking lamp. ... show more
