Heavy duty moulded plastic. I was told by a friend that had a daycare to be bring inside in winter time to keep from cracking. With care this teeter totter will last through generations. I think it is a great value for the price. Would definitely recommend.

My grandsons are a year apart. I loved teeter totters growing up & when I saw this, I was hopeful that my favorite boys would enjoy it. To my surprise the younger one liked it most! Of course, we still hold on to him but I imagine it will be even more of a favorite in a few more months! It is not huge so to not to take up too much space.
