A very high quality crochet hook. Really the best I've ever used. They slide well along the yarn. The hook is nicely shaped and the hand grip is just perfect.

Ever since discovering the Susan Bates crochet hooks I have been solidly sold on never buying another brand. I have been crocheting for over 50 years and the hooks head design is the BEST I have ever encountered. It consistently keeps the yarn in place for executing each stitch cleanly without loosing one strand of the yarn be it 1-4 strands cotton or synthetic. The flatter head design compared to other more vertically narrow heads is genius! I finish projects more quickly and neatly! The added comfort grip is a real plus!     • Best ever for this 85 y/o lifelong crocheter.
I wish the shaft was a little longer and that the handle a little bigger around as I have severe arthritis and that would give me more to hold on to. That said, these are still the best hooks I have ever owned. (I bought 3 sizes) They glide smoothly and never catch a thread backing out. That’s saying something because I like bulky stitches that pull through several loops on the hook and I work tight so I have to use a larger hook to achieve gauge.
