I use a lot of ice & got tired of filling up the trays & spilling water all over the place on the way to the freezer so I decided to give this a try. I am so happy that I did! It wasn't the color that I'd prefer, but for a big discount because of a banged up box the color didn't seem as important in order to have easy ice & less mess. I've always loved to chew on ice & this is like a big, soft, hollowed out version of pellet (Sonic) ice. It's easy to add water & it doesn't take any time for the ice to make. You can use the scoop & get it directly out of the machine (I do more times than not) or put it in a container in the freezer. To me it's better directly out of the machine because it freezes together in big clumps that you have to break up a lot of the time when it's put in the freezer. There are some reviews that complain that the ice is sitting in the water. OK, that can be true, but I'm not sure why they couldn't figure out that the simple solution is to just not fill the water up as high. I've only used this for three weeks, but I have absolutely no complaints yet! I'll update/change my review should something change. If you like easy ice for your drinks & to chew - buy this!

I've been using this ice maker for about 6 weeks and like it so far. I use a lot of ice for waters and iced coffees, and I was tired of filling ice trays, waiting hours for them to freeze, and trying to get the ice out of them. This makes it easier and faster. The first round of ice cubes usually suck. They're small and watery. It seems like the machine needs to warm up (or cool down). The rest of the ice cubes are decent. I don't notice a big difference between the small and large cube setting. But they're all a decent size. I run it every few days and put the ice in a big ziplock bag in the freezer so it's easier to break up if the ice gets stuck together when it freezes more.

Purchased for a team to make ice for personal drink of 6-8 folks. Large ice cubes are perfect and an initial tray comes out quickly. Reservoir holds enough water to make at least 5 sets of ice cubes. It is not designed to hold ice for a long time. Ice cubes eventually melt back into the reservoir and be remade into ice cubes. It serves the purpose I wanted, which is to plug in during the day, have ice available for a few hours, then unplug and leave overnight when I leave work.

Definitely not perfect, but it saved us from needing to replace our leaking fridge/freezer combo, so it was well worth the money. It clogs up and stops making ice if you don’t keep a close eye on it, which is annoying. But still overall worth it.

Got it. Watched it sit on the counter for 24 hours, followed the clean and start instructions and started making ice. It works great and is quiet. I don't care that the ice may be wet, saves me from adding water to my bourbon anyway. I have a large ice maker in my side by side freezer and it works just fine. This one will be used mostly for parties. Parts are a little rinky-dink, but WTF it is made in China. I think I can replace parts later if need by, but for around a hundred bucks I can buy one every years and I am still saving on store bought ice. I will follow up with reports after a few parties.

Update 9/21/2022: Silonn never returned any of my emails or contacted me back. Don't buy this one. I lost the price of this item and because we really loved having an icemaker, now I have to purchase another one. I'm not happy. UPDATE: 08/14/2022: My beloved icemaker is now emitting an oily yellow chemical into the water retaining basin. As you can imagine, I won't be using this icemaker again! Naturally, it happens when I'm just past my Amazon return window so I've contacted the manufacturer, Silonn for assistance with getting a replacement. I will update my review according to their response. I do hope it was just a defective item and they will send me a new one. I miss it already! I'm taking one star off for now but if they replace it promptly and the new one works I'll add back the star! I've been looking at these for a while now since my new fridge didn't have an ice maker and I thought I could just use ice trays. TBH the ice trays just weren't for me. I work 3 jobs and I just don't have a lot of time to mess around with ice trays. I understand if you think that's stupid and if ice trays work for you, more power to you but they just didn't work for me. So, anyway, I've been looking at these countertop ice makers but they are so pricey and I just couldn't bring myself to hit "place order" on any of them. But I was going to have guests over for dinner and I wanted to have ice so I finally bought this one after researching about 50 of them. I LOVE it. I use it every single day and so does my daughter. I love having easy, quick access to ice without having to mess with ice trays. This machine is easy to refill, easy to clean and easy to operate. I've only used the small ice cubes and they are plenty large enough for me. It makes ice fast. It is a bit noisy but my kitchen is one of those kinda long ones so I just put it on the counter farthest from the living area and I really only hear it when I'm in the kitchen cooking and making noise anyway. If your kitchen is right near your living or sleeping areas it might be a problem for you but it's fine for me. I love it so much that I'm really kicking myself for not buying it sooner. If you are teetering on the edge of deciding to buy one and you see this review, buy it! It is worth every penny.
