These are definitely decent pastry mats. I would call myself a hobby baker & for someone like me they totally get the job done I like how they have the conversation tables on them. It does also says that they can go in the oven, which I am a little skeptical about because they do feel a little on the thin side, so I haven’t tried it yet. It also came with a pastry brunch that is beyond cheap it was falling apart upon arrival , so don’t be too excited about that - but otherwise not a bad deal the mats are good & roll up well with pie crust on them and roll back out easily. ... show more

As someone who bakes weekly I was really excited to see this 2 pack of silicone bake mats on Amazon. After using one of them to bake some macadamia nut cookies I was happy to see that they are indeed non stick with foods, they are very large and literally fit the entire width and depth of my oven rack, and this mat baked some perfectly browned cookies. Now there are a few downsides to these mats. Compared to other silicone baking mats I've owned in the past these are very thin, like paper thin. The edges of the mats are also completely unsealed and if you look carefully while washing them you can see water seeping inside of the mat between the silicone sides and the fiberglass netting within the mat. I worry that this can cause mold to build up within the mats in the future. The mats are also very sticky upon unboxing and even after washing a few times before use. While I don't believe a chemical is the cause to this and the mats should be considered safe to use, it's still annoying trying to handle such a thin and floppy baking mat loaded with balls of cookie dough and having parts of itself stick together as you're trying to place it into the oven. This set of mats also include a miniature silicone head spatula that's just slightly bigger than my hand, but due to the silicone head sliding off effortlessly during use I ended up discarding it completely. For the price, their unique extra large size, the quantity, and the metric features printed on the mats, this set of mats seems like a steal.... but they could have been manufactured with better quality standards in mind. The biggest issue with these by far is the water seeping into the edges of the mat while washing, and mold just doesn't belong on food processing utensils or in the kitchen. Period. As much as I would love to be able to recommend these baking mats I simply cannot at this time. ... show more

I bought this mat to knead my sourdough bread dough on. Anything with the slightest amount of stickiness when moved, will move the mat as well, since it's so lightweight I tried to roll out cinnamon rolls on this mat and the mat was all over the place. Also, it has fibers along the edge that I'm worried will get in my dough. I guess you get what you pay for. ... show more
