First of all, this is the largest jerky gun on the market, it literally is twice as long as the closest contender claiming 2 lb capacity, so this one has 4 lb capacity that nobody else comes close to. So if you are serious about how quickly you can process your batch of jerky for dehydrator, this one can handle a 6 shelf Cosori dehydrator in 3 loads, which allows you to pack the entire thing with ground meat in less than 15 minutes. It is all metal construction, including threaded rings at the end of a tube, so it should last a very long time. It comes nicely equipped with everything you might need for making a jerky or stuffing sausages. As a matter of fact, if you don't make sausages for sale, there is no need for a dedicated sausage stuffer if you have this gun, it is large enough and easy enough to use for stuffing even larger diameter 2" casing. Besides LEM, this is the only gun that has a dedicated web site that you can use to buy parts or to deal with warranty/repairs issues. After a year of very active use rubber flange on a plunger developed a crack, I reached out and got fast response from the owner of the company that shipped to me a damaged part. I'm very satisfied both with the product and with the service I received from Sigval!

Making jerky at home isn't hard, and is a better value than buying even store brand jerky. This gun enables you to use the cheapest and easiest method of making jerky, and thats using ground meat, usually hamburger, but other meats as well. This gun is made of high quality materials and feels very solid. Works very smoothly and is much easier than the cheap one you might have gotten with your dehydrator. The motion is very precise and it is never difficult to squeeze. Cleaning is very easy. I would say that it holds more than 1lb of meat which means less work and less time. Buy at least 90% lean burger, mix with a premade mix, or mix up your own with soy sauce/Braggs Liquid Aminos and garlic and onion powder. 5lbs of burger turns into about 2lbs (32 ounces) of jerky.

The gun mechanism itself, the tubes and tips are high quality, easy to use and built to last. Loading the barrel is okay but would be easier if it was wider. Not a issue if you are making a small 1-3lb batch, but was noticeable when making 6lb or more. Cleanup was easy EXCEPT for that double shot tip. Fibers would wrap around the center split and couldn’t be removed by the brush - only by a toothpick. But the worst part to clean is the interface between the plastic collet and the stainless part inside. The tip needs to be redesigned to allow for a short cylindrical section for the collet to slide down on for cleaning. If I had to fight with cleaning this every day I would return it

The biggest problem this as with any food handling tool is clean up, but it came with the proper brushes and clean up wasn't that bad. Most videos showing you to use will have you roll the meat up into a ball and drop it in the tube. I used an ice cream scoop, the type that has the little thumb ejector. That worked great as I was able to keep my hands clean while using it. It was easy pushing the ground meat through the double tube nozzle and made the process of making ground beef jerky quicker. I would recommend this to anyone.

Solid build quality. The all metal jerky gun worked perfectly out of the box. It requires no force to operate and was very smooth. Used it to make 20 lbs of sausage, snack sticks and jerky right away. It was easy to assemble, easy to fill any easy to use. I don't think it really holds 2 lbs but it's heavy enough when full that it's probably a good thing. It included every possible nozzle you would ever want, brushes, caps and even a storage bag. I hope to use this for years to come. Great investment.

I'm so impressed with this jerky gun kit for the price The build and durability is commercial grade - everything is heavy stainless steel and has solid threads for easy assembly and disassembly. I have had zero structural or mechanical issues after dozens of uses. Cleaning is so much easier than I expected because everything disassembles so you can get the included brush through the tube to fully clean it. I separate and hand wash all components then run them all in my dishwasher for sterilization and final wash. Recommend to load the main tube on the bottom rack and with a slight tilt so water sprays inside of it and drains out. Every tip is useful for extruding jerky of your desired shape.
