    • What a buy! A truly firm foam mattress that wasn't $1000 or more!
The ONLY reason I'm going 4 star vs 5 is, I wish I'd bought the 12" vs. 8". 12 would be even better for my needs, as 8 is a bit low on the bed frame. If you're on a budget and need a firm mattress, this cannot be beat. It replaced a Serta that was decent, but a bit softer than I liked. I scored this bed for like $159 shipped. That was a steal if it lasts even 2 years! This is "soft, yet firm," meaning it is NOT squishy like you'd think, unless you kneel or stand on it. When lying on my back it contours wonderfully; same with my side or front. It is very supportive, and it does not take forever to rebound when you turn on your side or flip over, move, etc. It is far more supportive than the 8" "premium" bed in a box I got at Sams Club. (Roll over on the Sam's Club mattress, and your body wants to sag back in the direction you rolled from.) This is actually a very good mattress for stomach sleep and more importanly, for side sleep - my main position. I have yet to find an uncomfortable position. ONE WORD OF ADVICE: When they say 72hrs to fully expand, it means IT TAKES 72 hours to fully expand. Do NOT try to use 1st night, or you'll inhibit the expansion! I waited 48, figred it was enough, and it was like a sponge in places and a rock in others. So I put off using it for another day or so. I was amaed at the difference that made. So amazed, I'm replacing the Sam's mattress in my camper with this 8" full, and ordering the 12" for our spare room. I am glad I waited for it to fully expand before use/reviewing. I think the bad reviews are from people who needed a mattress immediately, and decided to ignore the 72 hr waiting instructions. My box stated a mfg. date of early 2021, so I think the people saying theirs were "in a box too long" are full of it. My hunch is, they expected to use it on day one. ... show more

    • Never became an 8 inch mattress as advertised.
This was a horror show. First, Amazon delivered it to the wrong address in my complex. I had to drag the box quite aways. Then, I set it up and it never expanded to 8 inches; never really got to be more than 4 inches. Imagine how I was going to get this full size mattress to UPS store to send back. No box big enough; I'm alone most of the time so no help. The whole experience was awful but the mattress was definitely a disappointment. Don't buy this product. The mattress has slopes on both ends and its not comfortable due to that, it looks like an eclipse. If it wasnt for that it would have been a great mattress... Seller however offered a refund Id rather have them send me replacement since I bought it for black friday

I’ve read a couple of reviews that say it takes a few weeks to fully “inflate” after being pulled out of the box. So far I’m 10 days in and it’s still very uneven. Just something to keep in mind if ordering it and needing it asap.

    • HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

This isn't directed at the seller, Cymax, but at the manufacturer DHP Furniture/Signature Sleep. The only thing I can say about Cymax is that they had a mattress sitting in their warehouse for 18 months before it was shipped out. I would think that you'd want to check the quality of your inventory before sending it out after 18 months. DHP Furniture/Signature Sleep on the other hand. Horrible customer support. Their mattress did not decompress. They offered no ways to get it to decompress and told me because the mattress had been "discontinued", they couldn't offer me the mattress I purchased. But they could offer me lesser mattresses at twice the price than I paid. Serves me right for buying on Black Friday I suppose. The worst insult came when it came to returns. BE CAREFUL WHAT THE REQUIRE YOU TO SIGN. Basically to "return" the mattress you have to sign a document stating, among other things, "Customer understands that Dorel Home Furnishings disputes the validity of Customer’s claim. This agreement is not an admission of fault by Dorel Home Furnishings. Dorel Home Furnishings is resolving this claim solely in the interests of customer service and satisfaction." Resolving this claim solely in the interests of customer service and satisfaction. My mattress didn't decompress. That's a fault of your product. I will not sign an agreement which says otherwise. They will not refund the cost incurred to dispose of the useless mattress and they will not even offer me a deal on a better mattress. I'm required to damage the mattress I do have to make it "useless" AND prove it in order to get my money back. Though rendering it useless basically is what I'm told not to do with this type of memory foam mattress. Cut it up. Take your chances with Signature Sleep/DHP Furniture at your own risk. If anything goes wrong, you WILL be losing money on the deal. Even if they tell you they are "attempting to make you whole". ... show more
