Disliked nothing besides the post office being to out of shape to lift two 45 lb packages into their truck, forcing me to have to drive 15 miles to pick them up from my local post office. These plates arrived this afternoon, along with 2 25# plates of the same brand. They are in flawless condition, easy to move around, due to their cutouts, and beautifully finished in what appears to be baked on enamel. At just over a dollar per pound, they are the best value out there.

    • Works for HIIT workouts

I only got one of these and didn’t get it to use on a barbell bar so can’t say how it works for that use. I use it for HIIT workouts that I want to add some weight to intensify the movement. Since I usually grip the openings to hold the weight during exercises I noticed that the spacing between the openings seems to be a bit off from weights I use at the gym. Could be because it’s more compact than the 25lb weight I’m use to but in any case, it’s not a deal breaker for me and doesn’t effect my form or cause any unnecessary pain. Still something to keep in mind if you happen to be particular about how you hold it. So far I have used it for exercises like weighted overhead sit ups, goblet or jumping squats, skiers, lunges and ab side bends with no problems. Have dumbbells but like to mix it up. 4 stars because a small piece of the paint coating got chipped during shipping. Probably partially because of packaging but I’m sure the delivery person wasn’t too happy with having to lift it so he/she could have mishandled it. I put some grey duck tape on it so it matches and it’s good as new. No worst for wear and no hard feelings:-). ... show more

Bought and commonly seen around $40 these are the BEST value I have seen. Though both of my plates measured closer to 46lbs, these are marketing in at usually $0.90 per pound. That is better value than used, chipped and rusty weights. Though I never drop mine, iron is iron and it is strong as it needs to be. Just slightly thicker but shorter than usual for iron. Weight is accurate, casting is a little rough, but at the end of the day it just needs to be a a chunk of cast iron with a certain weight and fit on a bar. I’m happy with the purchase!
