  • Solid, Stable, and Surprisingly Versatile for a Compact Home Gym
Color: Black Size: 16" x 14" x 12"
Solid, Stable, and Surprisingly Versatile for a Compact Home Gym I ordered the 16” x 14” x 12” version of this Fitvids 3-in-1 wooden plyo box for my home gym, and overall I’ve been very happy with it. For under $40, this feels like a serious piece of equipment rather than a flimsy add-on. First, the stability. Once assembled, this box feels solid. I’ve used it for step-ups, Bulgarian split squats, incline push-ups, box squats, and some light plyometric jumps. It doesn’t wobble or shift on my garage floor, and the textured non-slip surface gives good traction whether I’m wearing training shoes or just socks. That surface is one of my favorite features — it adds confidence when you’re fatigued and your foot placement isn’t perfect. The 3-in-1 height options (12”, 14”, and 16”) make it very practical. I mainly use 16” for step-ups and 12” for controlled rehab-style movements and higher-rep conditioning work. If you’re building a compact home gym, this gives you variety without taking up extra space. Now, assembly. This is the main thing to be aware of. It does require some real torque to get the screws in properly. The included tool is not sufficient. I highly recommend using a drill with a low-to-moderate torque setting and being careful not to overdrive the screws. The screws aren’t recessed, and if you push too hard you can strip or snap them. Once everything is tightened evenly, though, the structure feels very secure. The plywood quality is better than I expected at this price point. The joints fit well, and the finished black exterior looks clean and professional. It’s not ultra-light, but that weight actually adds to the stability. It’s still manageable to move around thanks to the built-in handle cutouts. A few things to keep in mind: * Use your own drill, not the included screwdriver. * Tighten evenly to avoid minor gaps at the seams. * If you’re doing very high box jumps or advanced CrossFit-style training, you may eventually want a taller box. But for most home users, this size is very functional. For general fitness, conditioning, step training, and moderate plyometrics, this is a strong value. It feels safe and dependable once assembled correctly. Bottom line: A sturdy, versatile, and budget-friendly plyo box that performs well for home workouts — just be prepared to assemble it properly with the right tools. ... show more

  • Very sturdy, easy to assemble
Color: Black Size: 16" x 14" x 12"
This is very easy to put together. I am 60+ and just getting into shape. I dit it by myself. Now, with so many height to choose from I can get as much of a workout as I need. I also started out at 230 lb and it did not even squeak in protest. I felt very secure stepping on and off. Definately worth the investment and will last as long as you are willing to use it ... show more

  • Great product!!! Company makes a great product!!! A+++ Great product!!! Company makes a great product!!! A+++
Color: Black Size: 16" x 14" x 12"
Very well made Plyo box!! very sturdy and thick panels of wood, also surprisingly came with bracing for the interior, this box could probably hold an elephant lol. The box feels as though they made it with safety in mind, along with cutouts for handles and portability, it is very stable and with a variety of heights to help with lower body strength and hopefully vertical!! Will be buying other boxes from this company!! Also A+ for communication, and fast shipping!! ... show more

  • Solid, versatile pylo box; good value.
Color: Black Size: 24" x 20" x 16"
Solid construction and good fit. Edges well sanded and looks good, too. Most importantly, it works very well. Of course, my metal ones are more stable, but with the box, you get 3 heights in one. Especially if constantly transporting these (e.g., if you are a coach), these plyo boxes are easier to carry around. Minus one star as (and this is true of all of the wooden plyo boxes I've looked into), if you don't have power tools (e.g., drill), assembly will be painfully slow. The included screwdriver is a joke; if you don't have a power drill to use for the screws, you will at least need a beefy screwdriver, not one sized for assembling a small plastic toy. Haven't tried in conditions where shoes may be a little damp, but the surface feels like it will be much slicker than the rubber top of my metal plyo boxes. Bought a roll of traction tape in case. Finally, if using on hardwood, may want a thin mat to put underneath to prevent wood on wood scratching, noise, and potential for movement. ... show more

  • Great for the home gym
Color: Black Size: 24" x 20" x 16"
This has been a great addition to my home gym. Very sturdy and non-slip. I don't feel any balance issues when using this. Fairly easy to put together. Took two of us to hold everything flush as we screwed it togther. We used a power screwdriver and was able to assemble it in under 30 minutes.

  • Solid step-up box
Color: Black Size: 16" x 14" x 12"
Very sturdy, even a little tight to put together, but I think that makes it all the better. I don't use it much anymore, since I have access to similar exercise equipment where I live, but it is absolutely solid and holds likely far more than I weigh. Easy to move around too with the handles, and the anti-slip covering works exactly as you'd expect. ... show more

  • not bad
Color: Black Size: 16" x 14" x 12"
Overall it is a good product. It is sturdy and is fairly simple to put together. It's a great value, I could definitely build this in a 3-5 hours but the with the quality of plywood that it is made of and the machine cut joinery it wouldn't be worth it in my opinion and may actually be cheaper than just the materials to buy this pre built. The plywood itself is actually fairly high quality and measures in 11/16" thick, not sure what that is in millimeters. The internal side of the plywood appears to be melamine, so you couldn't really glue it together, and the outside is a hard textured material. You will need at the very least a #2 phillips (its actually a pozidrive but phillips will work) but unless you want some killer forearm pump I would recommend using a drill on a low-ish torque setting to assemble it but I would avoid using an impact driver as the cheap screws that hold the sides together are very brittle, the screws are not recessed into the plywood and when I attempted to drive one in flush the head sheered off. 4/5, will probably last me a lifetime ... show more
