This table is quite nice for the money. The veneer table surface has a pleasant "grain" to it and looks good. The table is stable and square and does not rock at all. Very easy to assemble and even with one person to move and place up right. It is larger than you would expect even knowing the measurements, and this is not a bad thing. It can easily sit 4 people comfortably. The lower half portion of the table is nicely painted. The legs are thick and sturdy. That being said, the package arrived damaged with a large hole in one side, (luckily) the side that was not the table surface. The box that the legs come in appears to have supposed to be strapped to the inside of the table surface. However, the box was loose and the legs were coming out of it. Some minor damage was done to two of the legs, a little dent and some paint scrapping. While this is a bummer, it was not even close to being as bad as I had expected upon seeing and opening the box. Overall the table is a good product for the money you spend. I would recommend the table, maybe not the shipping. ... show more

Absolutely thrilled to get this table at under $300! It matches our chairs perfectly. I did notice that this table is also sold with tables, matching chairs and/or a matching bench. The table arrived well packaged. Simply remove the screwed in wood fittings using a Philips screwdriver and you are ready to add the legs. The hardware and Allen wrench is included. Assembly took me maybe 10-15 minutes (and I am a grandma!) ;) I did need help flipping the table over onto its legs. As you can see, it looks great and we were able to update the area for a fraction of the cost! A great value and it arrived in one day!!! I own other pieces by Signature Design by Ashley and have been very pleased with overall longevity!! Nice modern design with some farmhouse look, but minus the clunky and cumbersome oversized tables that don’t work for our space. Solid and. Confident 5 stars! See pictures! ... show more

I bought this table for solo board gaming. It's just large enough to fit my entire Skyrim board game setup (see photo). The surface is smooth with some minor wood texturing (you might want to use a something like a clipboard underneath paper that you write on, though). I was concerned about shipping damage because of other reviews and the box came damaged in several places, but the table was undamaged. It was quick and easy to put together and is very stable (but I recommend having 2 people lift and rotate it after you put the legs on, because it is quite heavy). The only thing I don't like about it is that it didn't come with feet. I attached some pieces of cork sheet that I had with double-sided tape. I recommend getting some felt feet at the hardware store, if you plan to put this on a smooth floor. ... show more

This is a great table for the price, it is sturdy, had no damage to the top or legs, and was easy to assemble. My only complaint is that the legs were packed in a box that was tied and stapled to the underside of the table, and I couldn’t remove most of the heavy duty staples even with pliers. Not a big thing but still rather odd that the packaging leaves damage to the underside. ... show more

Maybe I got lucky, but mine came undamaged. The packaging was very good and even though the box wasn't perfect, the table itself was flawless. The veneer is a little dark for my tastes, but I'll get used to it. Every table I've considered required a compromise of some sort. Some are too big, some too heavy, some are ugly in one aspect, not the right color, etc. From a distance, this one looks like 'real' furniture.     • Not bad for the price

First of all, no one is going to confuse this with high end or heirloom quality furniture. That being said it's a very nice looking, sturdy table at a pretty darn good price. Normally i don't like buying furniture online, because it can be difficult to tell the quality through pictures. I decided to roll the dice on this one because it was actually a brand i'd heard of (we have other furniture from Ashley and are happy with it). The Pros are that it is very inexpensive and looks nice. It's pretty sturdy and was pretty easy to put together. Shipping from Amazon was fast (1 day via UPS here in Southern California). Assembly was just screwing int he legs with an allen wrench supplied. The table is heavy so be careful flipping it over so that the legs are not damaged. The Cons: The only real issue is that the first table we received was damaged. There was a severe dent/gouge on one edge that protruded onto the top. The packaging was pretty secure but it looked like something sharp may have punctured the box and caused the damage. Either way Amazon sent a replacement immediately and it arrived and was assembled within 24 hours (again we're in SoCal so shipping time may have been shorter). Either way, it was easy enough to replace that I won't knock off a star from their rating. The damaged table went back on the truck that the replacement came on. Overall we are very happy with this table. We also got 4 chairs and a bench in separate purchases via Amazon and the overall cost was about $150 less than buying from Ashley directly. ... show more
