We just got these swivel rocker chairs, so I can't speak to longevity, but I love the look and feel! They swivel and rock and came fully assembled, which is GREAT. The back is soft, so there's a little "squish" to it. Seat is a tad more firm, but chair is still comfy. I feel like it leans just slightly forward, and I find myself wanting to cross my legs to push myself back a bit, but it's not uncomfortable, it just doesn't angle backward. The color I would say is off-white (ivory that leans slightly more toward yellow than red in tone) and more like gray than black, which is perfect for us. It also doesn't rock too far... what I mean is you can put it fairly close to a wall or table without it knocking into it, which is also nice. I am BIG on comfort, and I would not probably choose these chairs for watching a 2-hour movie in. I prefer a recliner for that. But they are great for guest visits or, in our case, looking out of our sunroom windows while we sip coffee. :) COLOR: IVORY & BLACK ... show more

These chairs are super comfy, very sturdy, and are made very well. They both swivel and rock. There’s plenty of room for any size person to sit and fill comfortable. The stripes are black BUT they look navy to me, and honestly look great with my grey, black, and white room palette. I have two of these chairs perfectly placed on a 5x7 rug in front of my fireplace. For some reason I did not know that the back cushion is loose and much too overstuffed for comfort. And it sits lower so the back of the chair shows. I have no way to return this as I ordered it thru Amazon and it is heavy and I don't know how I would ever return it. I had paid extra for the chair to be delivered inside and it was checked out for any defects and the swivel/rocker mechanism works well. The delivery guy credited my account for the extra delivery fee saying "there is no damage and all I did was unwrap it and bring it inside". Nice thought. But now I don't know how I can get this thing returned without paying a fortune for help to return it and having to pay shipping back on this heavy chair. Guess I will have to sell it on my own as it does not work for me. ... show more

Was looking for a swivel rocker and happened to check out our new, local Ashley Homestore. Saw this chair and fell in love, but was extremely disappointed in the price ($899 in store) and delivery timeframe was over a month. Could not believe I found this on Amazon for so much less. Chair was delivered in four days. Delivery guys were nice enough to bring it right into the house for me. There was zero assembly required as the chair was already fully put together, but wrapped up in a thin cushiony material, then plastic, then cardboard. Overall, I am very happy with this chair. It's super comfortable. Yes, the color shows a blue/gray, even though it's labeled Ivory & Black. The material is more of a linen, to which my 8-year old niece called "itchy" when she first sat down. The back cushion is not attached and took some "fluffing" to get the stuffing to feel equally distributed. It does creek a tiny bit when you rock, but i'm sure I could find a way to fix that with some WD40 on the bottom mechanism. Its a great looking chair and is comfortable to sit in. I first went to Ashley Signature showroom floor, found these chairs that I already had in my Amazon cart. I sat in them, gliding and rocking and fell in love! The color is a charcoal gray stripe and cream. I price compared with the Ashley Furniture. They were significantly cheaper on Amazon with free delivery! I ordered on a Saturday and the chairs arrived at 10:00 am on Tuesday. The store was going to be 3-6 weeks! Needless to say, I am glad I ordered the chairs through Amazon.
